The NA-Z6III underwater housing follows Nauticam's drive for innovation.

Nikon F-Mount & Z-Moint lens support

The Nauticam NA-Z6III is designed to accomodate both Z-Mount and F-Mount lenses. With the new compact design of the NA-Z6III housing, there are newly released zoom and focus gears which will drive off the main zoom/focus knob on the housing. There is also the 22225 N120 FTZ Adapter ER 25 with Knob which will allow you to use previous generation Z-Mount zoom and focus gear along with F-Mount lenses and their corresponding gears. Intelligent operation

Nauticam engineers are obsessed with functionality, and this is evident in the placement of the most important controls. Regardless of where the controls are located on the camera, the Nauticam housing puts them where you need them underwater.

High-quality professional optics

Optical performance is just as important as camera performance, and this becomes even more important given the challenges of filming underwater. This range of dry and wet lenses has been developed using commercial lens design software to achieve truly unrivalled underwater image quality for both stills and video in macro and wide-angle situations. The WACP-1 and WACP-2 achieve an ultra-wide 130º field of view with less distortion than conventional optics and offer a minimum focus distance of ~0", zoom through and unbeatable corner sharpness even at wide open apertures such as F5.6. The SMC-1 and SMC-2 macro wet lenses offer 2x and 4x magnification respectively when combined with the Nikon 105mm f/2.8G VR macro lens. The SMC-1 even delivers an image with higher contrast and sharpness than the 105mm lens itself can achieve in air without magnification.

M16 Vacuum Valve II

Installing vacuum valve to housing Remove the plug of the M16 accessory port from the housing. Remove the cap from the vacuum valve. Tighten the vacuum valve to the housing with the tool provided. Building up vacuum Remove the cap of the vacuum valve. Connect the hand pump to the valve and pump several times until it reaches the target vacuum level. The LED light will turn flashing yellow while vacuum is building up, then steady green when the target vacuum level is reached. Attention: After the target vacuum is reached, i.e. steady green light, attach the cap back to the vacuum valve. It is recommended to leave the housing for at least 20mins to ensure it is sealed. If the LED light changes from steady green light to rapidly flashing yellow light, that means there is a leakage and please check every O-ring and conduct the vacuum test again. Please ensure that the cap is attached back to the vacuum valve before going underwater. Vacuum can be released by pushing the red release button. Attention: Please DO NOT attempt to go over the designated vacuum level, i.e. stop pumping when the LED turn green. Excessive vacuum level may lead to the malfunction of the camera and lens. Note: Although the vacuum indicator is designated to compensate for a certain amount of temperature variation, it is recommended to conduct the vacuum test in an environment where the temperature is stable. After set up, the meaning of the LED indicator in the housing: Flashing “Blue” light: Standby mode. The moisture alarm is active, and the system is ready for vacuum indication whenever a vacuum is detected. Flashing “Red” light with beeping sound:Moisture is detected. Flashing “Yellow” light: Some vacuum is detected, target vacuum level is not reached. Steady “Green” light: Target vacuum level is reached. Rapidly flashing “Yellow” light: Vacuum is dropping. (Will occur only after target vacuum level is reached) Rapidly flashing “Red” light: Vacuum is totally lost. Circuit stalled until switched off. (Will occur only after target vacuum level is reached)

The next generation Nauticam Full Angle Straight Viewfinder is the perfect addition to your housing as it provides a bright, clear and undistorted 1:1 image of the camera’s viewfinder and is essential for precise focusing and artistic composition. This viewfinder is also available in an 0.8:1 version that can also accommodate viewing of the entire image field on cameras with larger EVFs such as the Sony A1. The Full Frame Angle Viewfinder also provides more clearance for your regulator allowing for more a more comfortable viewing position, installs in seconds without tools and retains the hassle-free underwater dioptric adjustment feature. The viewfinder can also be rotated when using the camera in a portrait orientation. While larger cinema systems such as the NA-C200, RED Komodo and RED DSMC2 housings feature integrated stabilization options, many Nauticam DSLR and Mirrorless systems now have an option for a similar level of support with the Universal Quadra-Pod Plate. INTRODUCING UNIVERSAL QUADRA-POD PLATE FOR NAUTICAM HOUSINGS Featuring a flexible housing mounting position, the Quadra-Pod attaches via the integrated threaded mounts on the bottom of supported housings with large knurled thumb screws. The Quadra-Pod can be used in either Quadrapod or Tripod configurations. QUADRAPOD CONFIGURATION TRIPOD CONFIGURATION There are five separate positions with which the Quadra-Pod can be mounted relative to the housing extending either more towards the front or rear of the housing. This flexible positioning allows for the use of various ports and accessories without interference.
