Canon PowerShot G7X Underwater Housing by Nauticam
NA-G7X is one in a series of advanced housings for very powerful compact cameras supported by Nauticam. Features found in professional SLR camera systems have been integrated into this system, and the result is an underwater housing that allows the user to utilise the full potential of this advanced compact camera in the water.
All the basic features and ergonomic improvements that Nauticam users have come to know and love are built into the NA-G7X. The housing is made from a solid block of aluminium and then hard anodised to prevent corrosion from salt water. It is closed with a simple but secure twist lock. The right side of the housing is shaped to fit in the palm of the user's hand and Nauticam's two-stage release lever allows clear differentiation between the half and full penetration position of the release. All functions are clearly labelled.NA-G7X represents Nauticam's continued commitment to developing its advanced line of housings for the best compact cameras for underwater photography. This is Nauticam's first compact camera housing with an interchangeable port system. This new port line, called the "N50"port connector, allows precise dial-in of optical solutions for maximum performance in the water. The ports are attached via a bayonet connection and securely locked.The Nauticam leak alarm and vacuum monitoring system is installed as standard. This system gives an audible and visual alarm whenever water enters the housing, and when combined with an accessory vacuum valve M14 (NA25611), the watertightness of the system can be tested before entering the water and monitored on every dive.

The new N50 PORT SYSTEM
Due to the specific camera and lens function of the Canon G7 X, a special port system is required to fully utilise the potential of wide-angle accessory lenses underwater.
The NA-G7X "Standard"-Port included with the housing enables full zoom and has a 67 mm threaded front to accommodate accessory macro lenses. This port is ideal for medium-sized fish portraits, close-ups and macros with additional wet lenses.
An optional N50 short port with M67 thread for wide-angle lenses (NA38701) is available, which allows precise placement of wide-angle lenses in wide-angle zoom position. Zooming through is not possible with this port, but offers the widest possible coverage with minimal vignetting for wide-angle shots.
A dome port solution is also available, which restores the angle of view of the lens in the air. This is a lightweight configuration that provides a surprisingly wide angle of view. This port is called the N50 3.5? Acrylic Dome Port (NA38702).
Tests have shown that the Inon UWL-H100 (either in the M67 mount or in the LD mount) is an ideal wide-angle lens for the NA-G7X. This combination results in a diagonal angle of view of more than one hundred degrees (100º).
