Sony a6400 Underwater Housing by Nauticam
Sony's line of APS-C mirrorless cameras has long offered top-level specs at an economical price point along with access to an extensive line of interchangeable lenses. For the A6400, Sony has paired the high-resolution 24mp sensor from the A6300 with a new Bionz X processor that borrows technology from the flagship A9. The A6400 can also shoot 4K video downsampled from the full sensor area without the recording time limit of the A6300 and A6500. Improved autofocus and faster camera response make this Sony mirrorless a standout in the APS-C mirrorless camera field. THE SONY A6400 CAMERA Mirrorless cameras have long led the way in hybrid cameras that allow for high-quality still and video recording from a compact interchangeable lens package. The APS-C sensor of the A6400 delivers both 24.2MP still raw images at up to 11fps continuous shooting as well as oversampled 4K video from the full-sensor width recorded in high dynamic range HLG and S-log gamma curves. The A6400 is highly customizable which is made easier by the upgraded menu system. Boot-up time and overall responsiveness of the camera are also improved thanks to the new Bionz X processor. The most notable upgrade to the A6400 is found in the autofocus system. Sony's Real-time Tracking makes using tracking-based autofocus easier. With the A6500 and the A6300 the user would have to decide on subject matter beforehand, switching between Eye-AF where the camera detects and follows a human eye, face detection or simple tracking of an object. With Real-time Tracking, the object that lies in the selected area of the frame will be tracked, regardless of what it is. This is notable for the underwater user that also uses the camera for topside imagery as it eliminates having to reconfigure the autofocus for tracking underwater subjects. For the video shooters, 4K capture at up to 30p is downsampled from the full-width of the sensor (6K). Recording time restrictions have been removed and the use of HLG and S-Log gamma curves is now an option to maximize dynamic range of the footage. Key Camera Specs 24MP APS-C sensor 425-pt phase detection AF system with Real-Time Tracking 2.36M-dot electronic viewfinder New Bionz X processor ISO range from 100-32000 11fps burst shooting 4K/30p video capture with HLG and S-Log THE NA-A6400 UNDERWATER HOUSING Nauticam has created housings for the original A6000, the A6300, A6500 and now the A6400. Drawing on this deep connection to the A6000 family, the NA-A6400 implements the core features that have come to define Nauticam housings such as intelligent control placement, ease of setup and rugged build quality. Mission Control The NA-A6400 features integrated ergonomic handles with stainless steel stiffening brackets that provide a solid shooting platform and attachment point for lighting accessories. The handles can be adjusted outwards to accommodate larger hands or thick gloves. A large dual-stage trigger is easily reached from the right handle and provides accurate actuation of autofocus and shutter release. A thumb lever on the right side of the housing triggers the Magnify control key which can be used to control AF/MF-AEL. This control can be customized in-camera to lock or activate autofocus. This back-button autofocus control is a favorite of underwater users as it separates autofocus activation from the shutter release to prevent unwanted refocusing during sequential shots or during video shooting. A dedicated record button to trigger video recording is within easy reach of the right handle and colored red for easy identification. Switching between the high-resolution Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) and the LCD display is accomplished with a clearly marked lever to the right of the housing's viewfinder. The camera is securely mounted on a tray using a knurled thumb screw that attaches it to the tripod mounting hole on the camera. The LCD can be used in an angled configuration on the tray, making it easier to see underwater and reduce the effects of glare. The tray locks into place inside the housing, preventing it from falling out when the housing is opened and ensuring proper control alignment. Flash Trigger Flash triggering is handled via the A6400's pop-up on-board flash. A lever on the top of the NA-A6400 can be used to open or close the flash inside the housing, eliminating the need to remember engaging the flash before placing the camera in the housing. Sea&Sea-style fiber optic cable connectors are built-in to the forward facing edge of the housing above the port. HDMI Output The NA-A6400 can be used with external monitors such as the SmallHD 502B and the Nauticam NA-502B housing via the Nauticam HDMI 1.4 system. Premium Professional Optics and Accessories A camera system is just that, a system, which means that access to premium optics and accessories can limit the true functionality of even a top-level camera. Nauticam's line of water-contact optics provide true wide-angle and macro performance. The innovative bayonet mounting system or single and dual-flip adapters make installation simple. 45º and 180º magnifying viewfinders enhance the usabliity of the camera's electronic viewfinder.

Sony A6500 Underwater housing by Nauticam
Sony a6500 is the latest high performance mirrorless interchangeable lens camera placed in the Sony E Mount lineup. Similar in size to many compact cameras, the a6500 body surrounds a large APS-C image sensor with fast and accurate autofocus performance. The a6500 is an incredible camera for underwater imaging (both stills and motion) when paired with the ergonomic, rugged, and down right good looking Nauticam housing. The combo excels at fast action still photo shooting, 4K video, and everything in between. THE SONY A6500 The a6500 predecessor, a6300, unveiled incredible enhancements in all aspects of performance. All of those features remain in the a6500, alongside some significant upgrades. The most notable new feature is 5 axis in-body image stabilization. This means that every lens – even retro manual glass from previous rangefinder systems, benefits from image stabilization. Modern Sony OS lenses work in conjunction with the in-body system for even greater stabilization. Underwater photographers can use this feature to allow slower shutter speeds in low light or available light situations, brighten backgrounds, and as a “steady shot” function when shooting video. The focus system is astounding, with the fastest auto focus acquisition of any interchangeable lens digital camera available, and the highest number of phase detect focus points. These 425 focus points spread across almost the entire frame help the camera accurately track subject motion in all directions. This phase detect AF system has an uncanny ability to track moving subjects, dramatically improving the accuracy of continuous focus. A high resolution, low-lag electronic viewfinder provides an experience remarkably like an optical viewfinder, with minimal delay. Uninterrupted live view while shooting at up to 8fps is possible, reducing the “blackout” that previous mirrorless cameras have when shooting bursts of photos. The a6500 live view display is much like a digital SLR, with minimal blackout between shots. The a6500 is capable of 4K video capture. The camera records a 20 megapixel (6K!) portion of its sensor, then resamples in body to produce an extremely sharp low noise image. A more extensive buffer with a newly developed front-end chip that provides more processing power increases the burst shooting capacity to 300 JPEG or 107 Raw images at 11 fps with full autofocus and autoexposure. Instant image review is possible, even while images are being written to the card. This expanded buffer means you can shoot continuously at 11 fps for 14 seconds! Operationally, the camera is extremely intuitive. A new touch screen can be used for focus point selection. New C1 and C2 buttons provide even more extensive customizability (with 10 total customizable buttons). The extensive menu system has been reorganized, and is much easier to navigate. A6500 Features: 24MP CMOS APS-C sensor 425-point on-sensor phase-detection AF system 11 fps continuous shooting for up to 300 JPEGs / 100 Raws (8 fps continuous live view without blackout) 5-axis in-body image stabilization 2.4m dot XGA OLED Tru-Finder with 120 fps refresh rate Tilting Rear Touch Screen Silent shooting in continuous drive (3 fps with AF/AE) Max ISO of 51200 4K video capture up to 100 Mbps Phase-detect AF compatible with A-mount lenses via LA-EA3 adapter Magnesium alloy design with upgraded dust and moisture resistance Improved hand grip THE NAUTICAM NA-A6500 UNDERWATER HOUSING Nauticam is the industry leader in mirrorless interchangeable lens underwater camera support. Nauticam has housed more mirrorless cameras, and more Sony E (NEX) Mount cameras than any other housing manufacturer. This experience results in the most evolved housing line with broadest range of accessories available today. Pioneering optical accessories elevate performance to a new level. Magnifying viewfinders, the sharpest super macro accessory lenses ever made, and now the highest quality wet mount wide angle lens (the WWL-1) combine with the NA-A6500 housing to form a complete imaging system. Nauticam is known for ergonomics, and an unmatched experience. Key controls are placed at the photographer’s fingertips. The housing and accessories are light weight, and easy to assemble. The camera drops in without any control presetting, and lens port changes are effortless. NA-A6500 features an integrated handle system. This ergonomic style is well proven on the full frame NA-A7 and NA-A7II housings for Sony Full Frame (FE) cameras. Exceptional control access, even with thick gloves, and ideal placement of the shutter release and AE-L / AF-L buttons at the right handle. Nauticam build quality is well known by underwater photographers around the globe. The housing is machined from a solid block of aluminum, then hard anodized making it impervious to salt water corrosion. Marine grade stainless and plastic parts complete the housing, and it is backed by a two year warranty against manufacturing defects. WWL-1, CMC-1 AND CMC-2 Three in-house Nauticam optical designs, designed by founder and Managing Director Edward Lai, are the perfect lenses to complete an a6500 underwater system. The magic of the wet lenses is their tremendous versatility, paired with outstanding in-water performance. Both macro and super wide angle optics are available to the underwater photographer on the same dive. These lenses are completely engineered for use in water, providing the highest image quality available today in a wet mount optic. WWL-1 is a wide angle conversion lens, compatible with several lenses in the Sony system. The field of view is widest when paired with the Sigma 19mm f2.8 DN Lens, providing 130 degree diagonal field of view. WWL-1 is also an ideal match for the Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS lens providing over 100 degree diagonal field of view with full zoom through! With either lens on camera, class leading center sharpness, corner sharpness, and contrast result in the clearest wide angle images possible underwater. CMC-1 and CMC-2 provide the best macro performance available, with two different magnification strengths, suitable for a wide variety of macro subjects. With the popular Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS lens, CMC-1 is capable of capturing a macro frame 26mm wide, while CMC-2 captures a area 33mm wide. CMC-2 is less strong, making it easier to use with more accurate autofocus. CMC-1 is best suited for the smallest of macro subjects. Macro enthusiasts will surely want both! FLASH CONNECTORS FOR INON S-TTL, SEA & SEA DS-TTL Reliable automatic flash exposure is available with the NA-A6500 and a variety of optically fired flashes. The Inon Z-240, D-2000, S-2000, and Sea & Sea YS-D1/YS-D2 strobes provide automated lighting, precisely reproducing the camera’s onboard flash at a proportionally greater intensity. This system yields accurate automatic TTL flash performance – even in manual mode – with no electrical sync cables to flood! The NA-A6500 comes fiber optic ready and accepts standard Sea & Sea style bushing connections. Nauticam Fiber Optic cables, available for both Inon and Sea & Sea strobes, provide the best light transmission and therefore more accurate TTL of any fiber optic cable on the market. Strobes and light arms can be attached to the housing via included 1? accessory mounting balls. The housing also features a cold-shoe and M10 threaded mount for a focus light or other accessories. Electrical strobe triggering (with power set manually on the flash head) is still an option for those with an investment in legacy lighting gear, requiring the purchase of an accessory electrical bulkhead. INTEGRATED VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is available with NA-A6500 as standard equipment. Combined with an optional vacuum valve (PN 25624), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occu

Panasonic Lumix GH6 Underwater Housing by Nauticam
The Panasonic GH5 brought high-end video specs to the micro four thirds platform, setting the bar for what was possible in this compact form-factor. Since the GH5, the open-source MFT actor has grown, with a massive variety of lenses available and camera specifications that rival or exceed some of their larger siblings. The GH6 follows closely in the GH5's footsteps, adding incredible new video features and even some notable still image enhancements. The GH5, GH5s, and GH5II have been well represented in the underwater imaging space and the arrival of the GH6 is sure to be met with serious enthusiasm given the spec sheet and early reviews. The Panasonic GH6 Camera The GH6 is built around a brand-new 25MP CMOS sensor paired to Panasonic's Venus processor. The new sensor, assisted by the addition of a CFExpress B card slot and a built-in cooling fan, can capture up to 5.7K video in the edit-friendly ProRes codec. While ProRes is currently limited to the 17:9 full 5.7K at 29.97p frame-rate recording mode, future firmware updates promised expanding this to all 4K and HD modes as well. While not in ProRes, the GH6 can record 10-bit 4:2:0 DCI or UHD 4K at up to 120fps using LongGOP H.264 compression. Dropping that frame rate to 60p allows for 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, All-i recording at a heavy 800Mbps bitrate. If 120fps is not slow enough, switching to HD opens up the possibility of 10-bit H.264 video at 240fps and even up to 300fps using Variable Frame Rate (VFR) mode which does not allow for audio recording. The menu for the various recording modes can be filtered to ease finding your desired mode and a personalized menu or 'My List' of selected modes can be created. When shooting at 60fps or lower, the GH6's Dynamic Range Boost mode can be activated. This mode uses both a low-gain and high-gain simultaneous readout from the sensor to create a final image with up to 13-stops of dynamic range. The GH6 also features Panasonic's full V-log profile which maximizes dynamic range for post-processing. The GH5 model only had a limited version of this profile. With a full-size HDMI port, the GH6 plays well with external monists and recorders, outputting a clean 4K/60p signal. Future firmware updates promise 4K/120P RAW output over HDMI. Not just a video camera, the GH6 also has notable improvements for still imaging. A new handheld mode for the high-resolution 100MP imaging mode expands the situations in which this can be used as previous versions required a tripod. For both stills and video, improvements in Autofocus and lower noise levels promise even better performance and image quality than was found in the GH5. Controls such as the prominent Record button remain similar aside from a button that gives direct access to the camera's audio settings and an additional custom function button on the front of the camera. The screen receives a refresh, as does the electronic viewfinder. THE NAUTICAM NA-GH6 UNDERWATER HOUSING The NA-GH6 builds on the pioneering NA-GH5 which supports the GH5, GH5S and GH5II camera models. Designed around the N85 Port System, the range of lens and port combinations for the NA-GH6 is unparalleled. Image quality can be improved even further with Nauticam's lineup of water-contact optics. These lenses, such as the WWL-1 and WWL-1B are designed to increase field-of-view, maximize corner sharpness and close-focus capability, all while maintaining zoom-through functionality. Using our unique bayonet mount system, these ultra-wide lenses can be switched for the powerful CMC-1 and CMC-2 macro optics underwater. This system makes the NA-GH6 the perfect underwater imaging system for both stills and video allowing for unparalleled wide and macro performance on the same dive without compromising image quality. MISSION CONTROL Designed with our Mission Control philosophy, the controls of the NA-GH6 are placed where they are needed most with essential controls for exposure and focus located within easy reach of the handles. A dual thumb lever near the right handle provides easy access to the 'REC' and 'AF-ON' buttons. A dual-action lever that triggers the 'Fn1' and 'Fn2' buttons is easily reached forward of the right handle as well. HDMI VIDEO OUTPUT With an M24 bulkhead and an M10 threaded mount, the NA-GH6 is easily paired with an external monitor or recorder over HDMI 2.0 or 1.4. With future firmware updates promising RAW video output at up to 4K/120p over HDMI, the NA-GH6 will be ready to meet that Need. MANUAL OPTICAL STROBE TRIGGERING Rapid fire manual triggering is available with the 26309 Mini Flash Trigger.  The Panasonic DMW FL-70 Flash Unit is not compatible with the GH6.   VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM The NA-GH6 underwater housing by Nauticam comes with electronics pre-installed for Nauticam's Vacuum Check and Leak Detection system, requiring only the optional M14 Vacuum Valve (25624). This monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur. The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive.

THE NAUTICAM NA-A6600 UNDERWATER HOUSING Nauticam is the industry leader in mirrorless interchangeable lens underwater camera support. Nauticam has housed more mirrorless cameras, and more Sony E (NEX) Mount cameras than any other housing manufacturer. This experience results in the most evolved housing line with broadest range of accessories available today. Pioneering optical accessories elevate performance to a new level. Magnifying viewfinders, the sharpest super macro accessory lenses ever made, and now the highest quality wet mount wide angle lens (the WWL-1) combine with the NA-A6600 housing to form a complete imaging system. Nauticam is known for ergonomics, and an unmatched experience. Key controls are placed at the photographer’s fingertips. The housing and accessories are light weight, and easy to assemble. The camera drops in without any control presetting, and lens port changes are effortless. NA-A6600 features an integrated handle system. This ergonomic style provides exceptional control access, even with thick gloves, with ideal placement of the shutter release and a thumb-lever to actuate the AE-L / AF-L button from the right handle in addition to the new 'C3' customizable button. NOTE: The NA-A6600 is NOT compatible with (36206) N85 to N120 50mm Adapter. It requires the updated (36207) N85 to N120 50mm Port Adapter II. HDMI 1.4 OUTPUT With 4K HDR internal video recording and updated autofocus, pairing the NA-A6600 with an external monitor such as the SmallHD 502 Bright 5" gives video shooters a large, bright screen that features focus and exposure tools. HDMI 1.4 output requires HDMI Bulkhead (25032) as well as a supported monitor housing and internal HDMI cable (25076). WWL-1, CMC-1, AND CMC-2 Three in-house Nauticam optical designs, designed by founder and Managing Director Edward Lai, are the perfect lenses to complete an a6600 underwater system. With the popular Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS lens, CMC-1 is capable of capturing a macro frame 26mm wide, while CMC-2 captures an area 33mm wide. CMC-2 is less strong, making it easier to use with more accurate autofocus. CMC-1 is best suited for the smallest of macro subjects. Macro enthusiasts will surely want both! FAST AND RELIABLE FLASH TRIGGERING Reliable rapid fire manual flash triggering is available with the NA-A6600 for a variety of optically fired flashes when used with a new LED Flash Trigger (36315). The NA-A6600 comes fiber optic ready and accepts standard Sea & Sea style bushing connections. BATTERY PACK FOR NA-6600 HOUSING (2500MAH, INC. USB CABLE) (NA36332) The a6600 does feature a larger internal battery but especially when shooting video the benefit of an accessory battery pack greatly extends the time between battery swaps, and allows the housing to remain sealed between dives. The accessory battery pack rests securely below the camera inside the housing and provides power to the camera via USB. INTEGRATED VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is available with NA-A6600 as standard equipment. Combined with an optional vacuum valve (PN 25624), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.

Fast and reliable flash release Reliable rapid-fire manual flash triggering is available with the NA-A6700 for a variety of optically fired flashes and utilizes the same flash trigger as the NA-A6600, the Mini Flash Trigger for NA-A6600 (NA36315). The NA-A6700 comes fiber optic ready and accepts the Universal Fiber Optic Cable.  Strobes and arms can be attached to the housing via included 1″ accessory mounting balls.  Electrical strobe triggering is still an option for those with an investment in legacy lighting gear, requiring the purchase of an accessory electrical bulkhead (NA25056). Integrated vacuum prüf and moisture warning system The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is available with NA-A6700 as standard equipment. Combined with an optional vacuum valve, this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water-tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.
