Panasonic Lumix GH5 (II) / GH5S Underwater housing by Nauticam
Panasonic hybrid camera systems have revolutionized all levels of motion imaging capture. Pairing high quality interchangeable lenses with compact camera bodies, the video camera of choice for underwater filmmakers has undergone an incredible transformation in recent years. It has become the Panasonic GH5 and GH5S. An exceptional hybrid housing to complement an exceptional hybrid camera, the NA-GH5V is a video-centric version of the NA-GH5 housing that supports HDMI 2.0 output via the new M28 bulkhead.
THE PANASONIC GH5 (II) AND GH5S
The Panasonic GH5 is a new camera body, positioned above the successful GH4, and improving it in every way. At the core is a 20 megapixel sensor with completely revamped video functionality. When shooting motion, GH5 reads the entire 5K sensor, then resamples in camera to create each individual 4K frame. This results in increased sharpness with no change in lens angle of coverage! Panasonic didn’t stop there, unlocking UHD video capture at up to 29.97 fps with 4:2:2 10-bit chroma sub-sampling. Simply put, this means the GH5 can capture twice the color information with 64x the precision of a 4:2:0 8-bit system. The GH5S, featuring the same body as the GH5 is even more video focused than its sibling. The GH5S features an anamorphic 10.2MP sensor featuring Dual Native ISO technology borrowed from the high end VariCam that can record DCI 4K internally at up to 30fps with 10-bit 4:2:2 color and HDR Hybrid Log Gamma support.

Panasonic GH5 II
The updated Venus processor allows the 203.MP sensor to record full-sensor oversampled 4K 10-bit 4:2:0 video at up to 50/60p or 4:2:2 DCI 4K at 30p/25p. There is also the option to record at VFR DCI 4K/60p for smoother post-processing workflow.
Other notable improvements to the interface are the ability to resize the waveform exposure assistance tool and the ability to view the vectorscope when setting white balance. The viewfinder's refresh rate has also been increased to 120hz and the LCD is 1.5x brighter with a wider color space.
The GH5 II will also allow for simultaneous output over HDMI while recording internally at 4K/60p. The NA-GH5SV is compatible with the Nauticam HDMI2.0/1.4 system to allow for the use of supported external recorders/monitors.
THE NAUTICAM NA-GH5V UNDERWATER HOUSING
The NA-GH5V housing is small, but not at the expense of functionality or ergonomics. Integrated handles provide a sturdy and comfortable base to operate the system from. A sculpted shutter release lever, thumb lever for AE-L / AF-L, and well placed control dials provide the same operational feel as any Nauticam DSLR housing. Control buttons are placed within easy reach of the handles, with sufficient spacing to allow easy operation, even by feel. The NA-GH5 is a professional grade underwater housing, built with cutting edge manufacturing technology, supporting the pro-level GH5/GH5S camera bodies to its full potential.
The GH5/GH5S feature four custom White Balance Presets allowing the video shooter to store settings for various depths as well as natural/artificial light scenes and switch between them quickly on a dive. Access to these presets is a breeze with the NA-GH5 mission control layout. A second thumb lever on the right side of the housing, easily accessed from the handle, brings up the white balance presets. Simply scroll to the desired preset and film away.
PREMIUM PROFESSIONAL OPTICS
The variety of optics solutions for the NA-GH5 are staggering. Whether you're choosing a MFT open-source standard lens such as the Panasonic 8mm Fisheye or the ultra-fast Olympus 60mm macro lens there is an N85 port system port for you.
Looking for zoom-through capability and both macro and wide on the same dive? The WWL-1 and CMC wet-mate system allows for unmatched corner sharpness for your wide angle and ridiculous reproduction ratios for your macro. The bayonet mount system allows for switching underwater.
TTL AND MANUAL OPTICAL STROBE TRIGGERING
Add the optional Panasonic DMW-FL70 Flash inside the housing for reliable, accurate triggering of optical TTL compatible strobes. Rapid fire manual triggering is also available with the Nauticam Mini Flash Trigger.
HDMI 2.0 OUTPUT
The NA-GH5V housing is a version of the NA-GH5 housing that features the M28 bulkhead connection that supports HDMI 2.0 connections for use with the NA-NinjaV housing for the Atomos Ninja V recorder. This allows for 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2 output and recording. The standard NA-GH5 housing supports up to HDMI 1.4.
INTEGRATED TRIPOD MOUNTS
The NA-GH5 has integrated mounting points on the bottom for industry standard 1" ball-mounts that can be used to attach tripod legs.
Fujifilm X-T3 Underwater Housing by Nauticam
FUJIFILM X-T3
The Fujifilm X-T3 features an APS-C CMOS 4 X-Trans 26.1MP Sensor. The X-T3 is powered by an upgraded X Processor 4 that is 3x faster and allows for 1.5x faster sensor readout than the X-T3. The base ISO has been lowered from 200 to 160. Oversampled DCI or UHD 4K (using full sensor width) is possible at 30p whereas 60p can be recorded with a minor 1.18x crop. The 60p footage can be captured as 10 bit 4:2:0 H.265 at 200 Mbps and recorded internally. This increases to 4:2:2 when output over HDMI. The X-T3 also features F-Log capture to maximize dynamic range, protecting highlights and shadows for editing. The X-T3 features a Natural Liveview mode when recording F-log that more closely resembles a standard monitoring LUT. Zebra warnings and focus peaking overlays as well as magnification during shooting are all improvements that video shooters will appreciate. Three custom white balance slots are available in addition to the 7 presets.
The electronic viewfinder of the X-T3 is vastly improved with 3.69M dots as compared to the 2.36M dots of the X-T2. Battery life has also been improved. The X-T3 can achieve 20fps continuous shooting with Autofocus and this increases to 30fps when shooting from a 1.25x crop area. A Sport Finder mode will show this cropped area inside the EVF.
Phase-detection autofocus has been increased to 98% of the sensor area.
The X-T3 also features a fast 1/250 X-sync speed.

THE NAUTICAM NA-XT3 UNDERWATER HOUSING
Nauticam has supported X-T1 and X-T2 cameras and continues to create innovative and ultra-functional housings for this line with the NA-XT3. More than just an updated badge, the NA-XT3 is a complete redesign of the series. With a form factor more closely resembling the NA-A9 for Sony's A9 mirrorless camera, the NA-XT3 features DSLR-style housing and port lock mechanisms as well as integrated ergonomic handles. An optional hand strap (NA28130) can be added to the handles. The housing is designed with our Mission Control concept of placing the most important camera controls as close to the handles as possible to facilitate effortless and quick camera operation to ensure you don't miss the shot.
The NA-XT3 features thumb levers near both handles, with the left thumb lever actuating the playback function and the right thumb lever the AF-L control. The housing includes two M14 and one M24 bulkhead openings and an M5 threaded hole on top (underneath the cold shoe) for an additional ball mount.
The NA-XT3 uses the N100 Port System shared with the Fujifilm XH1 system. A selection of port options are available for a variety of lenses.
VIDEO RECORDING FEATURES
The impressive video specs of the X-T3 prompted the addition of some video-centric features to the NA-XT3. The base of the housing can accept Nauticam's Mounting Ball Set for Tripod (PN 25218), the same part as for the NA-A9.
As the X-T3 can output DCI/UHD 4K at 60p with 4:2:2 quality over HDMI, a new M24 bulkhead has been incorporated into the housing to support an HDMI 2.0 connection to the Nauticam Atomos Ninja V housing (HDMI 2.0) for Atomos Ninja V 5” 4Kp60 4:4:2 10-bit Recorder/Monitor/Player (17922).
Video shooting can decrease battery life so the NA-XT3 is compatible with an optional 2500 mAh USB-C Battery Pack (NA36335) that sits below the camera tray inside the housing.
FLASH TRIGGERING
Reliable automatic flash exposure is available with the NA-XT3 and a variety of optically fired flashes, precisely reproducing the camera’s included EF-X8 flash at a proportionally greater intensity. This system yields accurate automatic TTL flash performance – even in manual exposure mode – with no electrical sync cables to flood!
The NA-XT3 is also compatible with the Nauticam Mini Flash Trigger for Panasonic/Fujifilm (PN 26305). The Flash Trigger allows for rapid fire manual flash firing via fiber optic, with no camera battery drain.

The X-T4, Fujifilm's latest APS-C mirrorless hybrid camera, adds a list of significant upgrades when compared to its predecessors. Some of the most noticeable improvements are in-body stabilization, battery life, and auto focus tracking performance. Panasonic Lumix GH6 Underwater Housing by Nauticam

The Panasonic GH5 brought high-end video specs to the micro four thirds platform, setting the bar for what was possible in this compact form-factor. Since the GH5, the open-source MFT actor has grown, with a massive variety of lenses available and camera specifications that rival or exceed some of their larger siblings. The GH6 follows closely in the GH5's footsteps, adding incredible new video features and even some notable still image enhancements. The GH5, GH5s, and GH5II have been well represented in the underwater imaging space and the arrival of the GH6 is sure to be met with serious enthusiasm given the spec sheet and early reviews.
The Panasonic GH6 Camera
The GH6 is built around a brand-new 25MP CMOS sensor paired to Panasonic's Venus processor. The new sensor, assisted by the addition of a CFExpress B card slot and a built-in cooling fan, can capture up to 5.7K video in the edit-friendly ProRes codec. While ProRes is currently limited to the 17:9 full 5.7K at 29.97p frame-rate recording mode, future firmware updates promised expanding this to all 4K and HD modes as well. While not in ProRes, the GH6 can record 10-bit 4:2:0 DCI or UHD 4K at up to 120fps using LongGOP H.264 compression. Dropping that frame rate to 60p allows for 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, All-i recording at a heavy 800Mbps bitrate.
If 120fps is not slow enough, switching to HD opens up the possibility of 10-bit H.264 video at 240fps and even up to 300fps using Variable Frame Rate (VFR) mode which does not allow for audio recording. The menu for the various recording modes can be filtered to ease finding your desired mode and a personalized menu or 'My List' of selected modes can be created.
When shooting at 60fps or lower, the GH6's Dynamic Range Boost mode can be activated. This mode uses both a low-gain and high-gain simultaneous readout from the sensor to create a final image with up to 13-stops of dynamic range. The GH6 also features Panasonic's full V-log profile which maximizes dynamic range for post-processing. The GH5 model only had a limited version of this profile.
With a full-size HDMI port, the GH6 plays well with external monists and recorders, outputting a clean 4K/60p signal. Future firmware updates promise 4K/120P RAW output over HDMI.
Not just a video camera, the GH6 also has notable improvements for still imaging. A new handheld mode for the high-resolution 100MP imaging mode expands the situations in which this can be used as previous versions required a tripod.
For both stills and video, improvements in Autofocus and lower noise levels promise even better performance and image quality than was found in the GH5. Controls such as the prominent Record button remain similar aside from a button that gives direct access to the camera's audio settings and an additional custom function button on the front of the camera. The screen receives a refresh, as does the electronic viewfinder.
THE NAUTICAM NA-GH6 UNDERWATER HOUSING
The NA-GH6 builds on the pioneering NA-GH5 which supports the GH5, GH5S and GH5II camera models. Designed around the N85 Port System, the range of lens and port combinations for the NA-GH6 is unparalleled. Image quality can be improved even further with Nauticam's lineup of water-contact optics. These lenses, such as the WWL-1 and WWL-1B are designed to increase field-of-view, maximize corner sharpness and close-focus capability, all while maintaining zoom-through functionality. Using our unique bayonet mount system, these ultra-wide lenses can be switched for the powerful CMC-1 and CMC-2 macro optics underwater. This system makes the NA-GH6 the perfect underwater imaging system for both stills and video allowing for unparalleled wide and macro performance on the same dive without compromising image quality.
MISSION CONTROL
Designed with our Mission Control philosophy, the controls of the NA-GH6 are placed where they are needed most with essential controls for exposure and focus located within easy reach of the handles. A dual thumb lever near the right handle provides easy access to the 'REC' and 'AF-ON' buttons. A dual-action lever that triggers the 'Fn1' and 'Fn2' buttons is easily reached forward of the right handle as well.
HDMI VIDEO OUTPUT
With an M24 bulkhead and an M10 threaded mount, the NA-GH6 is easily paired with an external monitor or recorder over HDMI 2.0 or 1.4. With future firmware updates promising RAW video output at up to 4K/120p over HDMI, the NA-GH6 will be ready to meet that Need.
MANUAL OPTICAL STROBE TRIGGERING
Rapid fire manual triggering is available with the 26309 Mini Flash Trigger. The Panasonic DMW FL-70 Flash Unit is not compatible with the GH6.
VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM
The NA-GH6 underwater housing by Nauticam comes with electronics pre-installed for Nauticam's Vacuum Check and Leak Detection system, requiring only the optional M14 Vacuum Valve (25624). This monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur. The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive.

The OM Systems OM-1, the first high-end Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera from OM Digital Solutions. The OM-1 features a 20MP quad-pixel AF stacked CMOS sensor. It is paired with the latest TruePic X processor to deliver 3x faster processing speeds and is capable of 120 fps shooting with the electronic shutter. The O-M1 can also capture 4K UHD or DCI at 60p in the OM-Log profile for great color grading range.
The OM-1 camera by Olympus
OM Systems has announced the OM-1. The new camera is supposed to top all previous models and have the absolute "WOW factor". Autofocus, image stabiliser and processor are said to be convincingly better. It will be available from the beginning of March.
The OM-1 is to be the new MFT flagship from Olymus. With its 20MP sensor, it is said to be capable of 120 frames/s at full resolution. It also has an extremely fast image sensor.
OM System promises that subject tracking and autofocus tracking will be faster and better than ever before. But there's also been a big upgrade in the image stabiliser.

Olympus OM-1 underwater housing by Nauticam
The OM Systems OM-1 is characterized by its combination of extreme customizability and impressive stabilization in a compact hybrid-shooting package. The Nauticam NA-OM1, similar to the OM-1 is a refinement of it's predecessors. Nauticam has produced housings for wide range of Micro Four Thirds cameras from Olympus and Panasonic. Throughout the evolution of Micro Four Thirds cameras, Nauticam has adapted our design to help image makers get take full advantage of every camera advancement. More than a simple waterproof case, the NA-OM1 integrates with the OM-1 to adapt and improve upon the camera's features for underwater shooting.
MISSION CONTROL
Regardless of where a dial or button may be found on the camera body, Nauticam engineers make sure it is located where it is needed most on the housing. This Mission Control philosophy drives the design of every housing and provides for the most intuitive and easy to use housings available. The NA-OM1 features a thumb lever, easily accessed from the ergonomic rubberized right handle that actuates the AF-ON control. This back-button autofocus method prevents the camera from refocusing between shots, allowing the user fine control over a shot's focus and is critical whether shooting macro or fast moving wide-angle subjects.
FLASH TRIGGERING
The OM-1 can be used with the optional Olympus FL-LM3 flash inside the NA-OM1 underwater housing by Nauticam to provide accurate TTL flash triggering through the integrated Sea&Sea style fiber optic bulkheads. For high-speed manual flash triggering, the optional Mini Flash Trigger for Olympus (26306) can be used. The trigger is powered by onboard coin style lithium batteries, with thousands of flashes available from a set. Electrical triggering of legacy wired strobe systems is possible via an electrical Nikonos style bulkhead (optional).
PREIUM PROFESSIONAL OPTICS
A camera system is only as good as the optics placed in front of it. Nauticam's extensive line of dome and flat ports support a wide variety of Micro Four Thirds lenses. For even higher image quality and versatility, the NA-OM1 can be used in conjunction with Nauticam's lineup of Water Contact Optics. For example, with the Olympus 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 EZ Lens, the Nauticam WWL-1 provides a full zoom through ultra wide-angle 130º field of view.
MAGNIFYING VIEWFINDERS
A clear view for fine focus and composition is critical for successful underwater photography, and nothing beats a magnifying viewfinder. These viewfinders use distance, not closeup vision, and provide a large, clear view of the high resolution Olympus electronic viewfinder. Available in Angled 45º (PN 32205 or 32213) and Straight 180º (PN 32204 or 32211) formats, both viewfinders have external dioptric adjustments for dialing in perfect correction matched to the photographer’s eyesight. The Full Frame Angle Viewfinder 32°/ 1:1 (32213) or the Full Frame Straight Viewfinder 32°/ 1:1 (32211) requires the 32215 Viewfinder Collar Adaptor.
