Z-330 Underwater Strobe by Inon
The INON Z-330 provides powerful Guide Number 33, high performance and multifunction in its compact body. Its built-in optically designed dome lens offering both high power and wide 110 degree coverage underwater without any diffuser which can sacrifice power. For digital cameras, film cameras, optical connection and sync cable connection, the Z-330 strobe supports every camera system with unparalleled features. Dome Lens Provides Both Powerful Light and Underwater 110 degree Coverage Yet lightweight and compact body, the Z-330 is designed to produce powerful G.N. 33 (*1). Precisely designed front dome lens (*2) together with INON's unique patented "T-shape Twin Flash" successfully manages both powerful strobe light without sacrifice any power and circular 110 degree coverage UNDERWATER. Not as like a conventional translucent diffuser which can widen coverage while it has to sacrifice power and store heat inside, this specially designed dome lens diffuses light thanks to reflection ratio of air, acrylic and water to attain UNDERWATER coverage 110 degree with almost all powerful output coming through. Furthermore, the Z-330 has overcame drawback of high-power strobe which has long flash duration and reaches to FULL power after start flashing in significantly short period of time. Together with flashing system in sync with pre-flash and main flash of camera’s built-in flash, the Z-330 can deliver full dump even at 1/1000 high shutter speed setting without cutting power (*1) Measurement in air/ ISO100·m, Nominal value (*2) PAT. P on the dome lens system to widen underwater coverage. (*1) Messung in Luft / ISO100?m, Nennwert (*2) PAT. P auf dem Kuppellinsensystem zur Erweiterung der Unterwasserabdeckung. S-TTL Auto /13 Steps Manual Flash Mode Proven and reliable INON's unique super accurate auto exposure system "S-TTL" Auto mode (patented) is onboard to support easy and solid underwater shooting with appropriate exposure. In addition, optimized high performance slave sensor never miss camera's trigger signal even with faint signal or partially damaged fiber optics cable can still trigger the strobe not to bother you with unstable flashing. Precise 1/2EV. increment 13 steps Manual flash control is onboard as well to support professional use where fine power adjustment is required to provide highly accurate lighting. EV. Controller to Adjust Exposure of S-TTL Auto It is simple to fine-tune flash power in S-TTL Auto by dialing the EV. Control Switch on the back control panel. Adjustable range is 3 steps to increase and 6 steps to decrease. It is easy and simple to suit to your intended exposure or different exposure control characteristics among camera models. Bundled "Strobe Light Shade" to Prevent Shining Camera Lens The "Strobe Light Shade" is bundled as standard accessory to cut a part of strobe light to benefit to dramatically suppress flare or ghost by not shining camera lens directly and backscatter when a strobe is positioned to vicinity or ahead of lens port by blocking light between lens port and subject not to shine suspended particles. The flange part rotates 360 degree. Intuitive operation and comfortable adjustment is supported with light clicks even underwater while you shoot.   220 lumen, Shutter Linked Auto OFF Focus Light The built-in "Shutter-linked Auto-Off Focus Light" delivers 220lm brightness to support when focusing a subject and cease in synch with the shutter release then automatically turns ON again. To aim optical axis of the Focus Light in line with strobe light’s optical axis, the Focus Light has a fresnel lens in front supporting more accurate strobe aiming and improved usability as an aiming light. Conspicuous Phosphorescence Back Panel - Improved Intuitive Control Dials Using white base high-intensity phosphorescence material for the back panel to improve visibility both during day and night dive. Also control dials are enlarged for user-friendly controllability even through thick gloves during cold water diving. The "EV. Control Switch" stops at minimum and maximum power setting telling you current switch position without seeing the switch itself.   Radiation System to Release Generated Heat Inside The Z-330 strobe is equipped with circular metal heatsink carrying high thermal conductivity around light emitting area. The heatsink is directly connected to inner circuit component to release generated heat from strobe usage effectively. Improved heat tolerance has resolved heat problem typically accompanied with powerful strobe. No stress with sudden stop of flashing to cool down. Minimum Recycle Time "approx. 1.6 sec." at Full Flash Minimum recycle time at full flash (how fast the strobe ready lamp shines and the strobe is ready after making full flash) is approx. 1.6 sec.(*3) achieving fast recycle time even delivers powerful light. (*3) With recommended Panasonic "eneloop pro", BK-HCD, 1.2V, Min.2,500mAh. Recycle time based on INON test data. Wide Variety of Dome Filters The Z-330 strobe has a bayonet system to hold a strobe dome filter to attach/remove easily. Besides bundled "Strobe Dome Filter SOFT" to protect dome lens surface and soften strobe light, optional "Strobe Dome Filter ND" which steps down at -4EV, "Strobe Dome Filter [4600K]" which changes native color temperature to 4600K and "Strobe Dome Filter [4900K]" which changes to 4900K will be available in 2018. Both Optical/Electrical Trigger Supported Optical connection system widely supports from underwater housings for compact digital cameras to a digital SLR housings with built-in flash or SLRs housing with built-in LED trigger circuitry regardless of make or model. The strobe is equipped with Nikonos 5 pin type cable compatible sync connector to shoot in TTL Auto mode with a film camera or in Manual mode for a digital SLR housing with a bulk head (*4). (*4) Usable function may vary depending on camera system and connection method On-board Wireless TTL The high sensitive slave sensor enables wireless S-TTL Auto mode using a mirror instead of an optical cable. Attaching optional Wireless Connection Kit on the Z-330 and combined with an underwater housing via Shoe Base Set or Grip Base D4 Set creates a handy S-TTL Auto shooting set. * Not compatible with camera's on-board wireless system such as Olympus wireless RC flash system or Nikon creative lighting system as wireless flash system differs. Integral Pre-flash Mode Detecting Function Fully compatible with a camera which alters number of pre-flash between once or twice making total flashes twice or three times depending on shooting condition. The Z-330 automatically detects number of pre-flash to activate adequate program to support proper functioning of Manual as well as highly accurate S-TTL Auto mode. INON unique Advanced Cancel Circuit benefits you with faster recycle time and more images per battery set to eliminate drawbacks when using Manual Flash mode with a pre-flash type digital camera where the built-in flash always burst full dump.

RetraFlash PRO Underwater Strobe
Developed by underwater photographers for underwater photographers - with this claim Retra UWT has dedicated itself to the development of one of the best underwater flash units in the world.  Focus on light quality With a unique flash tube design and a completely new reflector, Retra-UWT has achieved a light output that no other flash unit of this size can offer. But it is not only about guide numbers. "All you need to remember about guide numbers is not to use them as a guide when buying a flash. The guide number is determined by both the light output and the spread of the beam. A focused beam produces a much higher guide number than a widely scattered beam, but the latter is more desirable underwater." Alex Mustard in the Underwater Photography Masterclass (2016) The user interface created by photographers By listening to underwater photographers using the original Retra Flash, the developers have optimized the user interface. The interaction and functionality of the new Retra Flash is even more intuitive and precise. Double O-ring and leak detector for the battery compartment Our goal is to achieve a 0% statistic for battery compartment flooding. Therefore we introduce a double O-ring on the battery cover and on the optional leak detector. In the unlikely event that the battery compartment is flooded, you will be notified by the Retra Flash to check the battery compartment as soon as possible.  Performance in numbers Flash power: 150 Ws Colour temperature: 4900 K Pilot light output (angle): 500 lm (20º) Recycling time at 100% power (4x Eneloop pro): ~3 s HSS ready: YES Power levels: 13 Leak detector: YES Bayonet connection type: A1 Electrical connection: via converter Optical connection (compatible with Inon and Sea&Sea connectors): YES Weight (without batteries, including 1" mounting ball): 790 g

Sony A9II/A7RIV Underwater Housing by Nauticam
Sony has been at the forefront of the mirrorless evolution, offering cameras with specifications that are truly geared towards meeting the disparate needs of today's image makers while maintaining a similar, if not almost identical form factor. With the a7R IV, Sony introduced the highest resolution full frame mirrorless camera to date and with the a9 II it took speed image quality to another level. Luckily, for those wishing to take their cameras underwater, the a7R IV and the a9 II have extremely similar body size and control placement. For this reason, Nauticam is offering the NA-a2020 housing that offer full support for both cameras in the same housing without modification. THE SONY A7R IV AND SONY A9 II CAMERAS While both the a7R IV and the a9 II feature the same size sensor and body, they are two very different cameras. With the NA-a2020 Underwater Housing, you now can choose the right camera for the job while using the same housing, lenses and ports. Both cameras share 5-axis in-body stabilization (IBIS) providing up to 5.5 stops of stabilization and the ability to record 4K video either from the full sensor width or a Super35 crop at up to 30p to dual UHS-II SD card slots. Both cameras are capable of clean HDMI video output up to UHD 4K 4:2:2 8-bit at up to 25p. THE SONY A7R IV CAMERA The Sony a7R IV is the company's fourth generation, high-resolution full-frame mirrorless camera. The 61.0-megapixel full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor combined with BIONZ X imaging engine delivers unprecedented resolution, fine gradation, and low noise. Relative to previous generations, it promises more robust build quality, refined controls, the company's latest autofocus. The a7R IV also received a serious upgrade from a7R III to its electronic viewfinder (EVF) in a 1.6x bump in resolution to an impressive 5.76-million-dots of UXGA OLED display, the highest of any mirrorless full-frame camera. Sony Alpha a7R IV Key Specifications 61MP BSI CMOS full-frame sensor Fast Hybrid AF with tracking 10 fps burst shooting (12-bit Raw mode) with AF Tracking 5.76M dot OLED viewfinder 4K video from full sensor width (sub-sampled) or oversampled from Super35 crop S-Log 2, S-Log 3 and 'HLG' video modes (8-bit only) THE SONY A9 II CAMERA The a9 II is the flagship full-frame mirrorless camera in Sony's lineup and features a 24.2MP Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor. The original a9 set the bar for high speed shooting with an incredible 20fps without EVF blackout, a trait passed on to the a9 II. It's 693 phase-detection pints cover over 93% of the sensor's surface which, combined with the BIONZ X processor leads to fast and accurate autofocus, even while tracking. Placing only 24.2 megapixels on the sensor, the a9 II prioritizes dynamic range and excellent low-light sensitivity over resolution. Sony Alpha a9 II Key Specifications 24.2MP BSI CMOS full-frame sensor 20fps continuous shooting without EVF blackout Fast Hybrid AF with Tracking 3.69M dot OLED viewfinder 4K video from full sensor width (sub-sampled) or oversampled from Super35 crop THE NAUTICAM NA-?2020 UNDERWATER HOUSING Nauticam has supported the Sony Alpha full-frame line since the original a7 with professional grade aluminum housings that offer intuitive access to all the controls and functions of the cameras. As the cameras have evolved, so have the Nauticam housings. The Nauticam NA-a2020 takes our commitment to the Sony full-frame mirrorless line to another level by delivering the first housing that will support both the a9 II and the a7R II with full access to all controls without modification or restriction. Integrated DSLR-housing styled handles with ergonomic rubberized grips and stainless steel stiffening brackets add stability and accessory mounting points. The NA-a2020 also features dual rear thumb-levers that are easily reached from the handle that access three of the most-used controls on the rear of the camera. The right lever actuates the AF-ON and RECORD buttons while the left lever is mapped to the PLAY button. Atop the housing on the left side are controls specific to the a9II in the form of a MODE dial and FOCUS mode lever. The C1, C2 buttons as well as the EV compensation dial also have direct access from the top of the housing. The C3, which is typically assigned to control switching between the EVF and the LCD screen is easily reachable on the rear of the housing from the left handle. ACCESSORY PORTS The NA-a2020 has both and M24 port at the front of the housing for both HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 connectivity (see sidebar for recommendations) as well as an M14 at the rear for the optional Vacuum Valve (25624). The housing comes with electronics pre-installed for Nauticam's Vacuum Check and Leak Detection system. This monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur. The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive. PREMIUM PROFESSIONAL OPTICS Nauticam's wide range of ports and in-house corrective optics are the perfect compliment to the NA-a2020's inherent flexibility. Built around the N100 Port System, the NA-a2020 supports a wide variety of Sony FE mount lenses, as well as EF mount lenses via adapters. In addition, there are several options available to use the groundbreaking WACP and WACP-2 wide-angle corrective lenses as well as the more compact and in-water removable WWL-1. For example, With the Sony SEL1635GM FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM, the WACP 2 brings the original 105º field-of-view to an impressive 128º with sharper corners, an ~0" minimum focus distance and a more natural looking image than would be provided by a standard glass dome port. FLASH TRIGGERING Both fiber-optic and electrical strobe triggering options are available. The Nauticam Universal Fiber Optical cables attach to the built-in bulkheads atop the housing and feature modular connections for both Sea&Sea-style bushings and INON threaded connections. Triggering is achieved using the optional Nauticam Mini Flash Trigger for Sony (26302) which uses LEDs powered by an on-board coin-cell battery to generate a manual signal that is transmitter via the optical cables to compatible strobes.
