RED Digital Cinema V-Raptor ST 8K Underwater Housing by Nauticam
The enclosure supports both the RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV and the RED KOMODO through an optional insert (16250). It has been designed in a similar way to the previous DSMC2 LT and Komodo housings to offer the most compact and travel-friendly system possible. Raptor offers seamless integration with DSLR lenses and the same N120 connection system used in Nauticam DSLR and Cinema systems. Enjoy unmatched user-friendly set-up and intuitive operation, including tool-free set-up and tear-down in minutes. Batteries can be changed without removing the camera from the housing and lens changes are done in seconds.
The Nauticam Raptor housing uses the N120 Cinema Port system, which is shared with the other Nauticam cameras in the N120 platform and allows easy transition from other N120 Nauticam systems to the Nauticam Raptor. The N120 system also provides access to Nauticam's premium professional optics such as the WACP-1/2 and SMC-1/2.
The housing also features adjustable handles with easy access to the cinema-style zoom and focus knobs. On the top of the housing is a 1/4"-20 cheese plate that allows for a variety of accessory mounting points.
In addition to Nauticam's traditional fully mechanical controls, the Raptor housing also features a set of backlit electronic controls. These controls provide access to Iris+/-, Shut+/-, ISO+/-, WB on the left side of the housing and Pre-Record, FPS+/-, Playback, Play/Pause, Magnify and Tools on the top of the housing.
The Nauticam Raptor is covered by Nauticam's 2-year warranty.
Lens support
The RED V-RAPTOR 8K has a Canon RF lens mount, but Canon EF lenses are also supported through the Canon EF to EOS R adapter. The Nauticam Raptor housing offers full support for Canon RF lenses along with the Canon EF to EOS R adapter and the Canon EF to EOS R adapter with variable ND filter or control ring. On the left side of the housing is an easily accessible control wheel for smooth ND changes. Regardless of the choice of EF or RF lens, changing lenses is quick and easy and requires no tools. Note that when switching between RF and EF lenses, the camera must be removed from the housing to remove or install the RF-to-EF adapter. Nauticam is constantly testing new lenses to offer optimised connection and extension combinations. Large cinema-style control wheels on the housing, within easy reach of the handles, allow precise manual focus and zoom control with the supported lenses when used with the appropriate lens kit.
The Nauticam Raptor housing, in conjunction with the 16410 N120-to-N200 port adapter, supports the use of selected cinema lenses and the associated N200 port system, as it is not limited to the use of DSLR lenses. Installation is quick and easy and requires no tools, allowing seamless lens changes in the field - even when switching between DSLR and cinema lenses.
Support for internal monitors
In addition to the large viewing window for the Raptor's 2.4" LCD screen, Nauticam offers an optional rear housing for the Portkeys BM5WR monitor (16110). This allows the monitor to be viewed by the cameraman from a natural filming position and provides an extremely slim system. On the back of the monitor are control buttons for accessing the various tools of the BM5WR.
Support for external monitors
The SmallHD 503 Ultrabright or Atomos Ninja V monitor can be mounted in the external Nauticam NA-503-S or Nauticam Atomos Ninja V-S enclosures and connected via SDI bulkheads and cables, allowing greater flexibility in positioning the monitor on the Nauticam Raptor enclosure.

Vacuum control and leakage warning system
The Nauticam Raptor housing features Nauticam's field-proven vacuum testing and leak detection system, which provides constant information on the housing's watertight and submersible status. By applying a light vacuum inside the housing using a reliable and compact hand pump, the system can ensure watertightness before entering the water and during the dive. A simple colour-coded LED lighting system, clearly visible on the back of the enclosure, indicates to the user if the vacuum is stable or if the enclosure is losing vacuum. Leak detection is integrated into the same circuitry so that an audible and visual signal sounds if water penetrates. The Nauticam system is temperature compensated so that false alarms due to changes in outside temperature or heating of the camera during an action-packed dive are avoided.

All Weapon BRAINS are capable of data write speeds of 300 MB/s and are able to write simultaneously in REDCODE RAW as well as Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR/HD allowing for a faster and more streamlined post-processing workflow.
8K offers 17x more resolution than HD and 4x more than 4K allowing for unparalleled sharpness.
RED DSMC2 BRAINS can be configured to accept Canon EF, Nikon, Leica-M or PL lenses by swapping lens mounts. Changing lens mounts is as simple as removing four screws. This also gives access to the OLPF which can also be swapped.
THE NAUTICAM WEAPON LT UNDERWATER HOUSING
The Nauticam Weapon LT housing is the smallest, lightest, and easiest to operate underwater housing for RED Cameras available. On location, the usability of this system is unmatched. Set up and tear down in minutes, easily swap batteries and recording media while the camera is mounted in the housing, and lens changes in seconds. The small size and light weight dramatically decrease resistance in water, especially when free diving.
This version of the housing uses the N120 port system which allows for the use of even the largest diameter DSLR lenses such as the Canon Ultra-Wide Zoom EF 11-24mm f/4 USM. When paired with the Monstro VV sensor the Weapon will capture the full 126º05' rectilinear field of view.
EXTERNAL MONITOR SUPPORT
The Weapon LT housing supports the use of optional bulkheads to support a variety of external monitors with either SDI or LEMO connectivity. With LEMO support the use of the REDTOUCH monitor is possible removing the need for monitor battery changes as was necessary with SDI monitors like the SmallHD.
INTEGRATED VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM
The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is shipped with Weapon LT as standard equipment. Combined with an accessory vacuum valve (PN 25625), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.
The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive.
