Of course, a camera of this size deserves the best housing to take it underwater. Existing NA-5DMKIII housing owners - stop reading here, because this housing will work just fine with the 5DS. But Nauticam can't rest on laurels, so they simply had to produce the NA-5DSR and refine the NA-5DMKIII housing even more. The Nauticam NA-5DMKIII is incredibly popular and well-liked by their users. Many of the controls for the NA-5DSR are based on the NA-MKIII and take advantage of how stable this housing is. However, the Nauticam designers were able to make improvements. Small ¨changes, of course, but each incredibly well thought out - designed by underwater photographers, for underwater photographers.
As an example of a small but important ¨change, the right side of the housing has been made less "ücluttered" by moving the video/still switch to the top of the housing and combining the ISO and DOF preview buttons into a tactile rocker that makes accessing both controls especially easy. Perhaps the biggest change is the addition of the patent-pending Multi-Controller. This brings the joystick controls closer to the right hand for easier access. The piano keys für Set and Q have been beautifully designed to make room for them, creating a user interface that is both beautiful and functional.
Simple buttons such as Menü, Picture Style, Rate, Zoom Out, and Trash have been adjusted so that you can reach these buttons more easily with your left hand. The shutter is in the new paddle style - exceptionally easy to use, even with thick gloves, while maintaining amazing tactile feel for using the half-pressure of the 5DS shutter. The NA-5DSR includes strobe mounting balls and lightweight laser-cut stabilitäts mounts.

Use with Canon 5DMKIII
Because the 5DS, 5DS R, and 5D Mark III share the same basic body housing, this housing can be used with all three cameras. This provides incredible flexibility.... Shoot for high resolutions with the 5DS R on a dive, then switch to the 5D Mark III for its excellent low-light capabilities.
Finally, the NA-5DS is slightly lighter than the original NA-5DMKIII.... so much so that the additional lift required for most applications is reduced or eliminated. The result is a housing that is a dream for underwater use.
.View finder
The standard optical glass viewfinder is very good and travel-friendly, but many photographers prefer the convenience of a magnified viewfinder with adjustable diopters. Nauticam produces a "straight" 180º magnifying viewfinder and a 45º angled magnifying viewfinder to facilitate the tight-space work often associated with macro shooting. Both viewfinders feature high-quality optics and allow bright viewing of the entire image. A patented external diopter adjustment allows for personalized, pin-sharp adjustment underwater. Viewfinder changes can be performed in less than 30 seconds without tools. Exceptional composition and focus accuracy have never been so accessible.
.High-quality professional optics
.Experienced photographers know that a camera is only as good as the lens in front of it, and the same goes for the choice of optics for an underwater camera system. Four optically coated glass dome ports (diameters 250mm, 230mm, 180mm and 140mm) and a range of acrylic ports support common lenses from Canon, Sigma and Tokina. Port configurations are extensively tested at Nauticam to determine the ideal extension ring length for best performance.
.For macro and super macro photography, the Nauticam Super Macro Converter is a revolutionary accessory. It is a completely proprietary design optimized for use in water.
Water contact correction provides the highest overall sharpness, free of chromatic aberration and violet fringing, with imaging ratios of more than 2:1 when used with an EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM macro lens.
