D-200 Underwater Strobe Type II
Following the latest features of the Z-330 flash, the D-200 underwater flash is designed for a maximum guide number of 20 and an optical trigger system. The built-in dome lens is optically designed to provide wide 110-degree underwater coverage without a diffuser that can affect performance. High performance, multi-functionality and user-friendly handling with the lightest underwater weight support your underwater photography with superior Performance. Extended underwater coverage 110 degrees through dome lens The precisely designed front dome (*1) together with INON's unique patented "T-Shape Twin Flash" successfully creates both a strong guide number of 20 (*2) and circular 110 degree coverage underwater without sacrificing power. Without the use of a diffuser, the D-200 flash is well designed to deliver high power and wide coverage. Unlike a conventional translucent diffuser that can widen coverage while blocking some of the power and trapping heat inside, this specially designed dome lens diffuses light thanks to the reflective ratio of air, acrylic and water to achieve 110 degrees of UNDERWATER coverage with almost all of the powerful output passing through it. In addition, the D-200 has overcome the disadvantage of the high-power flash, which has a long flash duration and reaches full power in a significantly short time after starting the flash. Together with the flash system synchronised with the pre-flash and main flash of the camera's built-in flash, the D-200 can deliver full power even at a high shutter speed of 1/1000 without reducing output. (*1) PAT. P on the dome lens system to extend underwater coverage. (*2) Measurement in air / ISO100?m, nominal value.   Easy to handle under water, buoyancy only 4 grams The D-200 strobe light provides buoyancy at 4 g (*3) underwater, including 4 x AA eneloop batteries and Strobe Light Shade, making the strobe light easily buoyant underwater. By attaching an adapter such as "Z Adapter MV" or "Z Joint", the buoyancy can be almost neutral in salt water. (*3) The buoyancy measured in fresh water is about 4g. The calculated buoyancy in seawater is about 23g. Includes 4 x "eneloop" batteries and Strobe Light Shade. S-TTL automatic /13 power levels in manual flash mode Proven and reliable INON's unique, super-accurate automatic exposure system "S-TTL" Auto mode (patented) is on board to support simple and solid underwater photography with balanced exposure. What's more, even if the signal is weak or the fibre optic cable is partially damaged, the optimised, high-performance slave sensor never misses the camera's trigger signal so as not to hinder you with fickle flashes. Manual flash control with precise 1/2 f-stops is also built in to support professional use when fine-tuning of power is required for high-precision lighting. Power controller for setting the exposure of the S-TTL automatic system Fine-tuning the flash output in S-TTL auto mode is easy by selecting EV. control switch on the back of the control panel. The setting range can be increased in 3 steps and decreased in 6 steps. It is simple and straightforward to adjust to the intended exposure or the different exposure control characteristics of different camera models. Bundled "flash baffle" to prevent illuminated camera lens The "flash hood" (included) "cuts off" a portion of the flash light to dramatically reduce flash or ghosting by not directly illuminating the camera lens. It also prevents floating particles when a flash is positioned near or in front of the lens port, as the water between the port and the subject is less illuminated. The flange part can be rotated 360 degrees. Intuitive operation and comfortable adjustment is supported by easy clicks even under water during shooting.   Trigger-coupled auto OFF focus light with 220 lumens The built-in "Shutter-linked Auto-Off Focus Light" provides 220 lumens of brightness that assists the camera in focusing on a subject and stops in sync with the shutter release, then automatically turns back on. To align the optical axis of the focusing light with the optical axis of the flash, the focusing light has a Fresnel lens in front of it, which supports more accurate aiming of the flash and better usability as an aiming light. Eye-catching fluorescent back panel - Improved intuitive controls Use of high-intensity white-based phosphorescent material for the back panel to improve visibility during both day and night dives. The control buttons are also enlarged to allow user-friendly control even through thick gloves when cold-water diving. The "EV. Control Switch" stops at the minimum and maximum power setting and shows you the current switch position without seeing the switch itself. Radiation System for releasing the generated heat inside The D-200 underwater flash is equipped with a circular metal heat sink that has high thermal conductivity around the light-emitting surface. The heat sink is directly connected to the inner circuit component to effectively dissipate the heat generated when using the underwater flash. Improved heat tolerance has solved the heat problem normally associated with a powerful underwater flash. No stress with sudden stop of the flash to cool down. Minimum recycling time "approx. 1.6 sec." at full flash output The minimum repetition time at full flash (how quickly the flash-ready lamp lights up and the flash is ready after full flash) is approx. 1.6 sec(*3), giving a fast repetition time that even provides strong light. (*3) With recommended Panasonic "Eneloop Pro", BK-HCD, 1.2V, Min.2.500mAh. Recycling time based on INON test data. Large selection of dome filters The Z-330 underwater flash has a bayonet system to accept a dome flash filter, which is easy to attach/remove. In addition to the bundled "Strobe Dome Filter SOFT" for protecting the dome lens surface and softening the flash, the "Strobe Dome Filter ND", which drops at -4EV, the "Strobe Dome Filter [4600K]", which changes the native colour temperature to 4600K, and the "Strobe Dome Filter [4900K]", which changes to 4900K, are optionally available. Simple yet secure optical cable connection The INON optical connection system is flood-free and provides a simple but reliable connection between flash unit and camera system, including compact digital camera housings, housings for digital SLR cameras with built-in flash or SLR housings with built-in LED trigger circuit, regardless of brand or model. Integrated wireless TTL The high-sensitivity slave sensor enables wireless S-TTL auto mode using a mirror instead of an optical cable. Attaching the optional wireless connection kit to the D-200 and combining it with an underwater housing via the Shoe Base or Grip Base Set D4 creates a practical S-TTL auto shooting kit. * Not compatible with the camera's wireless on-board system such as Olympus' wireless RC flash system or Nikon's creative lighting system as the wireless flash system is different. Integrated pre-flash mode detection function Fully compatible with a camera that changes the number of pre-flashes between once and twice, and flashes two or three times in total depending on the shooting condition. The D-200 automatically detects the number of pre-flashes to activate a suitable programme that supports both manual and high-precision S-TTL auto modes. The unique INON Advanced Cancel Circuit benefits you with faster recycle time and more images per set of batteries to eliminate disadvantages when using manual flash mode with a digital camera with pre-flash, where the built-in flash always fires at full.
