Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K Underwater Housing by Nauticam
With the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, Blackmagic is giving users affordable 4K Raw video. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K delivers true DCI 4K capture at 60fps recorded in either 12-bit Blackmagic raw format or a variety of 10-bit ProRes flavors. Video can be recorded internally to SD or CFast 2.0 cards or via USB-C to a compact SSD. The MicroFourThirds mount means a large selection of lenses. The Nauticam NA-BMPCCII goes beyond just housing the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K by also supporting additional batteries, a portable SSD and the ability to use external monitors or Recorders. THE BLACKMAGIC POCKET CINEMA CAMERA 4K Blackmagic has built its reputation on defying convention and over-delivering specifications at a reasonable price point. This has perhaps never been truer than with the new Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. Sporting a spec sheet that compares to cameras costing thousands of dollars more, the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K provides true DCI 4K @ 60fps from its MFT sensor with an impressive 13 stops of dynamic range. 1080 HD can be recorded up to 120fps in windowed format. Particularly impressive; the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K can record this resolution internally to UHSII V90 SD or CFast 2.0 cards in either 10-Bit ProRes or 12-Bit Raw formats. This significant improvement in workflow for professionals and enthusiasts can be taken even further with the world’s first USB-C output to compact SSD recording provided by any manufacturer. Not only does this allow up to 2TB of storage for uninterrupted shooting, it provides immediate access to clips for editing. No additional downloads or transcoding! Underwater shooters will appreciate the new dual native ISO allowing superior lowlight/low noise performance as well the large, bright five inch touchscreen monitor with extensive tools that may eliminate the need for an external monitor in many applications. The Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K may well prove to be the ultimate run-and-gun camera whether as a primary rig or the “small” B camera that goes where others won’t. Noteworthy Specifications: Full size HDMI with clean 10-Bit Output 3D LUT compatible – whether just for monitoring or baked into the footage as well 4 built in mics and mini-XLR audio input with 48V phantom power Standard Canon LP-E6 Batteries 4th Generation Black Magic Color Science THE NA-BMPCCII UNDERWATER HOUSING The NA-BMPCCII is not just an update of the original NA-BMPCC, it is a ground up redesign for the new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K designed to take full advantage of the great new features of this cinema camera. MISSION CONTROL Nauticam's design philosophy is driven by allowing immediate access to all essential controls within easy reach of the handles, allowing the shooter to make adjustments without having to take their eyes off the screen. Within reach of the right handle are the trigger as well as a control dial for iris, a lever to capture still images as well as a double thumb lever for the white balance and autofocus. A recessed double thumb lever, situated between the trigger and the rear thumb lever accesses the ISO and Shutter Angle (Shutter Speed). Three assignable buttons are atop the housing near the right handle as well as three buttons on the right rear for HFR, Auto-Iris, Zoom and Menu. A thumb lever on the left side activates Review. The NA-BMPCCII features DSLR style ergonomic handles with stainless steel stiffening brackets that are compatible with the optional handle strap (PN 28130). The rear monitor window is compatible with the Monitor Shade for the NA-502 Housing (PN 17916) which attaches via four screws. The underside of the housing has mounting points for use with the Tripod Mounting Ball Set (PN 25218) removing the use for a bulky tripod plate. PREMIUM PROFESSIONAL OPTICS The NA-BMPCCII is built around the N85 Port System which offers a variety of port configurations for a large selection of lenses. The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a four thirds lens mount making it compatible with the Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II R lens that when paired with the WWL-1 provides ultra-sharp full-zoom-through wide-angle performance. The WWL-1, when used with the bayonet mount system can be exchanged underwater for the optional CMC-1 or CMC-2 to allow for the capturing of up to 130º wide-angle, macro and super-macro all on the same dive. HDMI 2.0 READY The housing features several bulkheads including the large-bore M28 which supports the use of an HDMI 2.0 recorder such as the Atomos Ninja V through the Nauticam Atomos Ninja V Housing (PN 17922). CUSTOM BATTERY PACK AND SSD SUPPORT To allow for increased run-time, the NA-BMPCCII comes with a custom battery cage that holds 4 x 18650 Lithium Batteries (batteries not included). This battery cage sits securely beneath the camera inside the housing and connects directly to the camera's power supply input. With 4x3400 mAh batteries, the run-time of the system can exceed 3 hours. Atop the camera's position inside the housing is a slot that holds a compact T5 SSD which connects to the camera via USB-C. Run Times Canon LP-E6 internal battery: 40min 4 x 16850 Battery: up to 160min Total Run Time: 3hrs 20min VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is shipped with NA-BMPCCII as standard equipment. With the pre-installed vacuum valve, this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur. The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive.

Small HD 502 5" HD (SDI) Underwater Housing by Nauticam

SmallHD 502 Bright (HD-SDI) Underwater Housing by Nauticam
The SmallHD 502 Bright monitor is an incredibly light and sharp 5-inch daylight viewable field monitor and the perfect complement to a Nauticam underwater video system. The Bright version of the 502 adds 1000 nit daylight viewable brightness to the already stunning 5?, 1920 x 1080 Full HD Display. The 441 PPI monitor comes equipped with an amazing suite of software tools for image monitoring in a compact form factor. This version of the NA-502B is setup for an HDMI camera connection, see NA-502B-S for an HD-SDI camera connection. THE SMALLHD 502 BRIGHT MONITOR There aren’t enough good things that can be said about this screen. Pixel density (the specification that results in sharpness) now sits at 441 PPI (higher than an iPhone 8). The monitor is capable of displaying 100% of the REC 709 color space allowing for accurate judgement of color and exposure even in bright daylight conditions. The monitor feels immediately familiar, almost identical in size to your favorite smart phone. A rubberized joystick is used to effortlessly flip through video “pages”. Each page accepts multiple imagine analysis tools, configured by the user for their individual needs. EXPOSURE-TOOLS EXPOSURE ASSIST (FALSE COLOR) This overlay mode "paints" areas of the image that have reached a certain brightness value allowing the shooter to see what parts of the image may be over or underexposed. The colors used to show these luminance values can be customized as well. ZEBRA A slightly simpler version of the Exposure Assistant this tool "paints" areas of the image with a stripe pattern when they reach a pre-set brightness value allowing you to quickly see areas that may be in danger of being over or under-exposed. You can run two zebra overlays at once allowing you to monitor both highlights and shadows simultaneously. This tool does not change the underlying color of the image on the display making it a less obtrusive option than False Color overlays. WAVEFORM The waveform shows you the brightness of the image as a map, matching the screen from left to right. This tool can also be set to RGB mode in which case it monitors Chrominance (Color) as well as Luminance (Brightness). The RGB and RGB Parade modes will also help judge color balance (i.e. white balance), especially useful to underwater shooters. RGB-PARADE (HISTOGRAM) This tool shows an RGB Luminance Histogram that allows for easy judgement of each channel and the overall image's exposure. FOCUS TOOLS PIXEL-ZOOM Zoom in on any page by simply pushing the joystick up. This allows for accurate judgement of critical focus. FOCUS ASSIST This mode highlights the sharpest areas of the image with an assignable color. This allows for quick an accurate judgement of focus without having to zoom into the image. PEAKING This is a more subtle version of Focus Assist that does not change the underlying image as much yet still shows the outline of the sharpest parts of the image in an assignable color. NAUTICAM NA-502B-H UNDERWATER HOUSING Nauticam has supported both the 501 and 502 models of SmallHD montiors and continue to evolve and innovate with the new NA-502B for the 502 Bright Monitor. With more cameras offering video capability the need for an efficient and bright external monitor is only growing. With Nauticam's bulkhead system, attaching and detaching the cable system can be done quickly in the field. This means you can easily switch from a still photo setup to a video setup in between dives, quickly removing the monitor and even installing a magnifying viewfinder to the housing. The NA-502B housing provides access to all monitor controls, and the complete menu system is available in the housing, and at depth. The Nauticam NA-502B housing features the rugged build quality and advanced manufacturing expertise our user base has come to expect. The joystick navigation system used by the 502 Bright monitor is translated to four directional arrows, a center select button, and the dedicated “back” button. The interface is simple, but elegant, and perfectly suited to the underwater environment. The form factor of 502 Bright monitor is perfectly suited for an underwater housing, with HDMI / HD-SDI cables nestled between two readily available Canon LP-E6 Batteries that power the monitor. HDMI and HD-SDI are both supported by a single housing, providing an extremely broad range of camera support in a single underwater monitor system. NOTE: This housing comes with an HD-SDI connection pre-installed. Unlike previous 502 models the 502 Bright is only available in one configuration that includes both HD-SDI and HDMI so choose the housing model that is appropriate for your camera, i.e. 17920 for HDMI and 17921 for HD-SDI. CROSS CONVERSION AND PASSTHROUGH The 502 Bright monitor can also function as a passthrough monitor, passing either HDMI or SDI to a surface monitor. The NA-502B housings feature a second M16 opening that can accommodate another HD-SDI or HDMI cable. The SmallHD 502 Bright also features a cross-conversion feature meaning an HDMI input from the camera can be converted to an HD-SDI signal by the monitor and passed through a second bulkhead to a surface monitor. HD-SDI can travel over longer distances making this ideal for surface monitoring even from a camera that only features HDMI output. Nauticam HD-SDI Cable Accessories provide a reliable way of transporting a video signal over long distances. Accessory Ports Front Top: 1 x M16 pre-installed with 25625 Vacuum Valve II Rear Bottom: 1 x M16 (normally used for 25028 M16 SDI Bulkhead for SDI-out)
