Looking for something different? Tired of night diving? Fluorescence will give you a whole new perspective on the world beneath the waves. With our line of excitation and barrier filters, you can convert your existing lights into a fluorescence set-up. No need to purchase expensive specialty lights or guided dives. Be the explorer!
About Fluorescence
To see this underwater, you'll need a light with a dichroic "excitation filter" attached AND a yellow "barrier filter" on your mask and camera system. What you'll generally see is a glow emitted from a variety of corals and animals, mostly in greens, blues, and reds. You may find two of the same type of corals—one which fluoresces, and one which doesn't. Dive your favorite spots in a different light and see what you've been missing!
Fluorescence is technically the photon emitted as an electron relaxes from its excited state to its ground state. In layman's terms, it's the glowing you are familiar with in glow sticks, jellyfish, and forensics. A variety of organisms and materials above and below water exhibit fluorescence—often with the introduction of a particular wavelength of light.
Fluorescence photography may be captured during the day by experimenting with using a very powerful, filtered light source and under-exposing the ambient light.

Ikelite Color Correcting Filters replace oranges, reds, and more natural tones that are otherwise lost in the water. Each filter attaches to the outside of the port offering easy attachment and removal underwater.
The specially formulated UR/Pro color correcting filter for tropical blue water settings enhances warm reds and oranges with available sunlight up to 80 ft (24m).
The UR/Pro color correcting filter for green water enhances contrast and improves the color of green water to give your subject a rich, natural tone. Effective with available sunlight up to 80 ft (24m). Use in most lakes and any green water setting.
In general, color filters are not intended to be used in conjunction with a strobe or powerful video light.
These filters are not usable on dome ports. Dome ports require the use of an internal filter attached to your camera's lens (not available through Ikelite).

The easiest way to stow your wide angle or macro lens when not in use. Allows for the attachment of 67mm threaded lens to an Ikelite Ball Arm Extension Mark II.
The beauty of a "wet lens" is the ability to add and remove in while underwater. This holder provides a convenient method to have your lens right at hand when you need it, and safely secured to your system when you don't. No more stuffing your lens in a BCD pocket!
Hard anodized aluminum construction provides strength and corrosion resistant performance. Simply attach the holder to the middle of any Ikelite Ball Arm Extension Mark II, and then thread your lens on.
Two Lens Holders may be combined back to back to hold both your wide angle and macro lens on the same arm section. This holder is not compatible with 1/2- or 3/4-inch Flex Arms. If you have an older 1-inch ball arm extension without slot, simply swap it out for a new arm extension and re-use your existing clamps.
