Product number: ASRED64

Isotta's RED64 underwater flash features a careful design, shielded electronics isolated from the control panel and a microprocessor with upgradable software that guarantees high-quality performance in time. It is also neutrally buoyant in water and waterproof up to 100 metres. Thanks to a xenon toroidal lamp and a warm colour temperature of 5300 K, which is essential for displaying bright colours underwater, the flash unit emits a wide and homogeneous light distribution without a hot spot.

One of the most powerful flash units on the market, it offers photographers maximum light in any situation, illuminating details even in the darkest waters or against the light.

Very bright, even in the water!

The RED64 underwater flash from Isotta has a guide number of 22 in water (at 1 metre distance, 100 ISO), which allows for great performance underwater and is ideal for shooting against sunlight and with large or distant subjects. Its 130° degree beam angle is achieved by its parabolic aluminium shell, which distributes the light without a diffuser and avoids backscatter. The flash has a two-colour aiming light (white and red) to choose from depending on the photographer's needs.

Unlike any other high-power flash on the market, the battery section allows photographers to use their own 8 high quality Ni-MH AA batteries in a compartment separate and sealed from the electronics. This not only allows flexibility in location, but also a great cost saving.

Ergonomic design

The RED64 underwater flash from Isotta is ergonomically designed and the controls are visible from every angle. A multi-coloured LED indicates activity and flash readiness as well as battery status. The strobe can be controlled automatically or manually: RED64 can be operated with an optical fibre cable that works in TTL mode and also in manual mode. Alternatively, it can be operated with sync cable through an S6 bulkhead or Nikonos V or even in slave mode to work without a cable.

One160X Underwater Flash Canon eTTL
The "Underwater Flash for the Highest Demands" Project Performance that lends itself to wide-angle underwater photography, even backlit, or the most technically demanding macros, without the need to increase the ISO sensitivity of your digital cameras. A high-quality light without compromise, with wide, even coverage and a slightly warm colour temperature. Modern, highly efficient electronics, versatile, with synchro and fibre optic cable connections, supported by on-board TTL digital protocols. A flash unit that is easy to use, with ergonomic controls and easy-to-read settings. A quality product, extremely robust and reliable. Electronics Power supply, digital control and advanced functions, high reliability. Maximum energy 157 Ws (J) e-TTL Canon, s-TTL fibre optic, on-board digital protocols Dual CPU for TTL protocols and power switching At the heart of these advanced electronics is a powerful CPU that manages the entire underwater flash with sophisticated digital communication software between the camera and the flash, perfectly interfaced with Nikon's i-TTL protocols. This mode allows us to achieve a very accurate exposure of the flash light without the aid or interposition of a converter. Additional functions such as focus light and synchronisation to the second curtain are also supported. In addition to the protocols managed with a sync cable, s-TTL mode is also supported for signal transmission via fibre optics. A second CPU manages the circuits to optimise performance in every situation and maximise battery life and safety. Selected components with strict quality parameters and intelligent management of all operating functions of the strobe ensure very high reliability. Mechanics A realisation without compromise, robustness, precision and workmanship at the highest level. High-quality, hard-anodised, anti-corodal aluminium flash body. Stainless steel control shafts with double-sealing O-ring. Extremely stable construction, maximum operating depth 200 m The body consists of a solid block of anti-corodal aluminium alloy machined with state-of-the-art multi-axis CNC machining centres. The aluminium is surface treated and protected by a hard anodic oxidation with a nanotech quartz coating that makes the surface hydrophobic. All control shafts are made of stainless steel with double-sealing O-ring. The various engineering polymers selected for the moulding are extremely robust and ideal for use in water. The robustness of the design allows the underwater flash to be used in all technical dives, hyperbaric tests are carried out at pressures equivalent to a depth of 200 metres. Operating elements Ergonomics in the foreground. Basic, large, easy to use. Large format ergonomic controls, really easy to use Simple and rational layout, large manoeuvring area Easy to read, wide control display To achieve these results, the engineers designed the layout of the controls to simplify and streamline their functionality: no buttons, no switches, just two large lever selectors, a multifunction rotary switch and a large, easy-to-read control panel. This simplification, combined with the elimination of connection sockets and associated cables near the control, has made it possible to have a large operating area that allows a wide view of the selected settings and enables easy operation even with gloves on. The side lever selector switches, the rotary knob, the open-close selector switch for the battery compartment cover have been developed according to strict ergonomic criteria to achieve optimum operating comfort and grip safety. The controls for their configuration are insensitive to hydrostatic pressure. You will operate them with the same effort at any depth.   Functionality Easy to use, logical and intuitive operation, good clarity. Shooting modes: Nikon i-TTL, Canon E-TTL, s-TTL, film TTL, manual Energy control - manual mode - ½ aperture steps in the range of - 6 Exposure compensation - TTL mode - ? Aperture steps over a range of +/- 2 The red main switch on the left controls the focus lamp (in the two available powers) and the TTL flash modes, via sync cable and via fibre optic cable connection. The protocol selection (Nikon i-TTL, Canon E-TTL, optical s-TTL) is automatic. The control lamps ??-PL-TTL indicate flash readiness, the switching on of the control lamp or the selection of the TTL mode. The black INPUT lever selector switch on the right-hand side allows us to choose the input and connection mode we want: Sync cable jack, fibre optic cable jack, optical receiver on reflector for slave mode. The indicator lights show the selected SYN-OPT-SLV input.  Power control is delegated to the central rotary switch, which operates an encoder. In manual mode, the setting is ½ aperture steps over a range of - 6, while when TTL mode is selected, the exposure compensation control function is assigned to ? F-stops over a range of +/- 2. The selected setting for power or exposure compensation is clearly visible in the centre area of the large display. Simultaneous one-hand operation of the left and right lever selector switches the unit on and off. Power supply High efficiency and autonomy, safety without risk. Replaceable NiMH battery pack High battery capacity, more than 250 flashes at full power Fast, CPU-controlled charging times of 0.1 to 1.8 seconds No restriction for air transport in the cabin. Power is supplied by a replaceable NiMH battery pack made with Panasonic's best professional high energy cells. More than 250 flashes at full power are guaranteed by charging times of 0.1 to 1.8 seconds electronically controlled by the CPU. The special table charger enables fast charging in less than two hours. The remaining charge check is visible on the display every time the flash is switched on and off. The manufacturers have paid the utmost attention to safety by providing the battery pack with short-circuit protection, making the battery compartment waterproof and equipping the compartment's sealing cap with a safety valve. Safe to transport and use, practical and quick to replace, with a second unit you will always have an energy reserve for all your needs in a matter of moments.
