Marelux hat gerade ein neues Werkzeug für Makro-Unterwasserfotografen entwickelt, die SOFT-Smart Optical Flash Tube. Dieser intelligente Snoot kann mit verschiedenen gängigen Blitzgeräten verwendet werden, wobei das Pilotlicht automatisch ausgeschaltet wird, wenn das Blitzgerät blitzt. (Das Ziellicht wird automatisch für 1,2 Sekunden gelöscht, in 2/100.000 Sekunden nach dem Erkennen des Stroboskopblitzes, und schaltet sich dann automatisch wieder ein). Die Lichtform kann über eine eingebaute Blende eingestellt werden, die über ein externes Einstellrad geregelt wird. Der Fokuspunkt liegt 170 mm vom Ende der Röhre entfernt und der Durchmesser beträgt 2 mm bis 60 mm.
