Flash triggers allow motor drive shooting sequences, perfect for fast moving action. This flash trigger plugs into the A7 camera hotshoe and provides an optical signal for fast, continuous strobe firing. Automatic TTL flash control is not supported by this flash trigger, flash power is set manually on the strobe itself.

Compatible underwater flashes: Inon Z-330 / Z-240 / S-220, Sea&Sea YS-D1 / YS-D3 Mark II / YS-250, Ikelite DS-230 / DS160 / DS160 DS-125, Subtronic Pro-270 / Pro-160, RetraFlash PRO TTL and HSS on the RetraFlash Fantastic TTL accuracy allows photographers to relax and rely entirely on automatic flash exposure control. Many creative tasks are made possible by using extremely fast HSS shutter speeds of up to 1/8000 with the Retra Pro flash in manual mode. The TTL converter firmware also has some other important updates related to its common functionality. The Retra PRO profile can be set by the user üvia the TTL converter's built-in rotary switch. The TTL/M modes can be switched underwater simply by using the camera name or the flash button. In manual mode, the flash intensity can be adjusted manually üvia the camera wheel/scale, but also üvia the flash control knob. (+/-) TTL flash compensation is supported by the firmware, the full range is available via the camera control in the range -3ev......+3ev. The firmware supports sync settings for the 1-st /2-nd curtain and the rear curtain. Continuous (serial) recording is supported. The HSS firmware of the TTL converter supports the HSS functionality of the Retra Pro flash. The built-in rotary switch must be set to the Retra Pro profile (position - "7"). Available HSS shutter speeds for Sony A7-A9: 1/320 ....1/8000 sec. The Retra flash allows the HSS flash intensity to be adjusted with the rotary knob. In the updated firmware, switching to HSS shutter speeds is also included in the general functionality of the TTL converter (also for all other positions of the rotary switch), - usable for shooting with ambient light at high shutter speeds if required. However, the X-Sync speed limit (1/250 for Sony A7-A9) is still automatically supported for TTL modes, as required for mono flash TTL underwater flash. Incredibly long battery life in the TTL converter: 1-3 years of continuous operation. The product has extremely low power consumption. The converter features an automatic on/off switching module that saves battery power. No mechanical switch is required to switch UW Technics TTL converters on and off. The TTL converter firmware includes TTL profiles for the following underwater flashes: Retra Pro, Inon Z-330/ Z-240/S-2000, Sea&Sea YS-D2/ YS-D1/ YS-250, Ikelite DS-161/ DS-160 and Subtronic Pro-270/Pro-160. The WACP is a 0.36x Wide Angle Conversion Port. Unlike traditional ports or wet-mate corrective wide-angle optics, the WACP is a "dry" corrective optic that modifies a 28mm equivalent lens to an extremely sharp 130º. FOCUS The WACP can focus from its front element to infinity in-water allowing for extremely close-focus wide angle shooting. When used with certain zoom lenses, the WACP can provide a variety of field-of-view options. Buoyancy Collar An aluminum float collar is standard and brings the in-water buoyancy 0.32kg negative. Compatible Lenses The WACP is designed to function at the full-frame equivalent focal length of 28mm. A wide variety of lenses are supported, both primes and zooms for Nikon, Canon and Sony as well as Super35 Cinema Systems. The Nauticam Extension Ring 20 II is part of the N120 Port System and can be used to add an effective length of 20 mm to an N120 Port Setup. This extension ring supports the use of ports/extension rings with removable bayonet mountings.

This N100 to N120 35.5mm Port Adapter replaces 37303. This adapter allows for the use of N120 ports and extension rings on N100 Nauticam Housings.

Focus wheels provide access to the manual focus function in an underwater housing. Use may require specific port extensions and may not be available for all housings and lenses. This focus ring is designed specifically for the Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS wide-angle zoom lens.

Installing vacuum valve to housing Remove the plug of the M14 accessory port from the housing. Remove the cap from the vacuum valve. Tighten the vacuum valve to the housing with the tool provided. Building up vacuum Remove the cap of the vacuum valve. Connect the hand pump to the valve and pump several times until it reaches the target vacuum level. The LED light will turn flashing yellow while vacuum is building up, then steady green when the target vacuum level is reached. Attention: After the target vacuum is reached, i.e. steady green light, attach the cap back to the vacuum valve. It is recommended to leave the housing for at least 20mins to ensure it is sealed. If the LED light changes from steady green light to rapidly flashing yellow light, that means there is a leakage and please check every O-ring and conduct the vacuum test again. Please ensure that the cap is attached back to the vacuum valve before going underwater. Vacuum can be released by pushing the red release button. Attention: Please DO NOT attempt to go over the designated vacuum level, i.e. stop pumping when the LED turn green. Excessive vacuum level may lead to the malfunction of the camera and lens. Note: Although the vacuum indicator is designated to compensate for a certain amount of temperature variation, it is recommended to conduct the vacuum test in an environment where the temperature is stable. After set up, the meaning of the LED indicator in the housing: Flashing “Blue” light: Standby mode. The moisture alarm is active, and the system is ready for vacuum indication whenever a vacuum is detected. Flashing “Red” light with beeping sound:Moisture is detected. Flashing “Yellow” light: Some vacuum is detected, target vacuum level is not reached. Steady “Green” light: Target vacuum level is reached. Rapidly flashing “Yellow” light: Vacuum is dropping. (Will occur only after target vacuum level is reached) Rapidly flashing “Red” light: Vacuum is totally lost. Circuit stalled until switched off. (Will occur only after target vacuum level is reached)

Compatible with optional Sea&Seas “Optical YS Converter S1” which converts the strobe light emission signal of the camera to LED light and synchronizes with the SEA&SEA YS strobe. It is a high-performance converter that does not just emit simple light-emitting signals, but also performs TTL auto light Control. Focus Point Movement Settings To perform "focus point operation" during shooting, please make a custom setting for the focus point in the dial customization of the camera in advance. The focus point can be moved by operating the front/rear dial. Other Features The Port Lock prevents the port from turning or loosening and the Port Lock lever is specifically located to avoid being unlocked accidentally. The housing is equipped with a lens-lock release button which makes it possible to change lenses easily, without opening the housing. Pulling out the Focus/Zoom Dial gives sufficient room inside the housing to easily accommodate larger diameter lenses. All controls have luminescence stickers which glow in dark environment. Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other optional viewfinders such as the VF180 1.2x, VF45 1.2x and Optical Viewfinder 0.66x, 0.8x can be used. ※Some vignetting occurs.When the VF180 1.2x is mounted on housing, the uper part of the camera's viewfinder cannot be viewed due to vignetting. Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front case and the other on the rear) to prevent electrolysis damage. Tripod screw mount is located on the centre underside of the housing. UNCOMPROMISED OPTICAL QUALITY The Super Macro Converter is constructed from lenses are precision crafted of specially formulated low dispersion optical grade glass, ground to the most demanding standards. These exceptional measures, enhanced by broadband anti-refective coatings effectively reduce common optical issues such as chromatic aberrations, coma, spherical aberration, and field deformation associated with underwater macro photography using traditional magnifying lenses. These optics are assembled in a rugged hard anodized aluminum housing, and nitrogen purged during assembly to eliminate fogging. STUNNING MAGNIFICATION When combined with a full frame camera and a 100mm or 105mm macro lens, the device converts the optical system to provide a maximum of 2.3X magnification factor. In other words, a subject area of 15.6mm X 10.4mm will fill the whole frame of a 36mm X 24mm sensor. IMPROVED SHARPNESS AND CONTRAST As the Super Macro Converter is optimized explicitly for using together with a macro lens underwater, images captured exhibit exceptional sharpness compared with conventional magnification lenses. Thanks to the broadband multi-layer anti-reflection coating on each surface of the lenses, images also exhibit higher contrast. SUPERB LIGHT TRANSMISSION All the lens elements installed inside the SMC are optically optimized to appropriate diameters so as to provide maximum light transmission. The SMC doesn't suffer from vignette issues under even the most extreme conditions. The broad band multi-layer anti-reflection coating on all surfaces also greatly improves light transmission. OPTIMIZED FOR AUTOFOCUS By utilizing a specially developed algorithm in the optimization process, the SMC renders superior image quality over the full focusing range of the camera lens (which becomes ~50 to ~100 mm in front of the SMC). Also benefitting from the high brightness and contrast of the image, the autofocus system of the camera usually works acceptably well within this range. AMPLE WORKING DISTANCE Even at the maximum 2.3X magnification, there is still more than 50mm of working distance between the front element and the subject with 100/105mm macro lenses. This working distance is crucial when capturing behavior with skittish subjects. RESOLUTION High resolution was a primary design goal of the SMC project. This has been achieved using computer aided optimization and high grade optical glasses with unique refractive and dispersion properties. Images taken with this new system exhibit very high resolution and quality. Results have exceeded expectations, and these images rival the quality of the macro lens in air. SMOOTH BOKEH The Converter retains the optical properties of the macro lens for the whole system underwater, resulting in a blurred (out of focus) background that has a pleasing smoothness and creamy look, without the normal purple and green fringing. AVOIDING DIFFRACTION Due to the overall superior optical performance of the SMC it is possible to shoot larger apertures with excellent image quality. This avoids reaching the diffraction limit of high resolution sensors, and allows selective focus effects with narrow depth of field in super macro images.

Focus gears allow access to the mechanical focus function of many lenses. Use of these gears may require specific port extensions and may not be available for all housings and lenses.
