Details of the Isotta underwater housing for Sony Alpha 1

Technology and Innovation gained from years of experience has resulted in an easy-to-use, highly professional product. Easy access to all the camera's buttons/main controls, even when wearing gloves, thanks to clearly labelled, laser-etched buttons with a long service life.

The rear panel has a large viewing window for a good overview of the camera and optical viewfinder and is completely detachable from the front housing to facilitate camera mounting.

The housing is very stable thanks to robust and wide rubber feet on the underside.

One-handed open/close

Opening and closing the Sony Alpha 1 is very easy and effortless thanks to the upper screw bolt and the lower centred pins; the camera is simply placed in the housing on a sliding tray that holds the camera stably in Position.

Ports and extensions

A range of ports and extension rings are available in the designated area. The detachable port is attached to the body of the Sony Alpha 1 Underwater housing by Isotta thanks to markings and a 120mm bayonet mount. The interchangeable ports and extension rings allow the use of most lenses on the market for maximum versatility and Performance.

Light control

Two fibre optic connections allow the use of an external strobe via the manual trigger (optional). The Isotta undewater housing for Sony alpha 1has one M28 and M16 holes for the installation of accessories, e.g. synchro cables, vacuum valves, monitors.

Construction and safety

Only the best materials are used in the manufacture of our enclosures, such as anodised aluminium, which is anti-corodal and thermo-coated, and stainless steel. A durable product that requires easy and simple maintenance by the user. Two high precision and high quality O-ring seals protect and ensure a perfect and secure seal of all moving and / or removable parts; a red alarm for moisture / water inside the housing is powered by a user replaceable battery. The working depth is 100 metres. Various accessories can be attached directly to the handles or via an upper M8 threaded hole, via the Isotta top handle or via the M6 threaded holes on the bottom.

As the cameras have evolved, so have the Nauticam housings. The NA-a1 underwater housing provides fingertip access to all key camera controls in a rugged and reliable aluminum underwater housing. Ergonomic camera control access is one of the defining strengths of a Nauticam housing, and the NA-a1 continues this tradition. Integrated DSLR-housing styled handles with ergonomic rubberized grips and stainless steel stiffening brackets add stability and accessory mounting points. The NA-a1 also features dual rear thumb-levers that are easily reached from the handle that access three of the most-used controls on the rear of the camera. The right lever actuates the AF-ON and RECORD buttons while the left lever is mapped to the PLAY button. Atop the housing on the left side are controls in the form of a MODE dial and FOCUS mode lever. The C1, C2 buttons as well as the EV compensation dial also have direct access from the top of the housing. The C3, which is typically assigned to control switching between the EVF and the LCD screen is easily reachable on the rear of the housing from the left handle. PREMIUM PROFESSIONAL OPTICS Nauticam's wide range of ports and in-house corrective optics are the perfect compliment to the NA-a1's inherent flexibility. Built around the N100 Port System, the NA-a1 supports a wide variety of Sony FE mount lenses, as well as EF mount lenses via adapters. In addition, there are several options available to use the groundbreaking WACP and WACP-2 wide-angle corrective lenses as well as the more compact and in-water removable WWL-1B. The Nauticam Universal Fiber Optical cables attach to the built-in bulkheads atop the housing and feature modular connections for both Sea&Sea-style bushings and INON threaded connections. Triggering is achieved using the optional Nauticam Mini Flash Trigger for Sony (26302) which uses LEDs powered by an on-board coin-cell battery to generate a manual signal that is transmitter via the optical cables to compatible strobes.

Focus Point Movement Settings To perform "focus point operation" during shooting, please make a custom setting for the focus point in the dial customization of the camera in advance. The focus point can be moved by operating the front/rear dial. Other Features The Port Lock prevents the port from turning or loosening and the Port Lock lever is specifically located to avoid being unlocked accidentally. The housing is equipped with a lens-lock release button which makes it possible to change lenses easily, without opening the housing. Pulling out the Focus/Zoom Dial gives sufficient room inside the housing to easily accommodate larger diameter lenses. All controls have luminescence stickers which glow in dark environment. Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard.
