Techniques and innovations based on years of experience have resulted in an easy-to-use, highly professional product. Perfect handling of the Canon EOS 5D Mark III body is made possible by adjustable grips that fit the human hand and make holding the camera very comfortable, even on long dives. Easy access to all key camera controls with clearly labelled, laser engraved, durable buttons, even when wearing gloves and dry diving gloves. An easy and quick release camera mounting plate allows camera positioning and a lever locks the compartment inside the housing. The back door has a large scratch-resistant window glass for a fine camera display and optical viewfinder, and is completely separated from the front body to facilitate camera mounting. External viewfinders can be mounted, INON X-2 compatible. 

Open and close with one hand

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III housing is locked with Isotta's one-handed, single-turn knob. It is the only single locking mechanism on the DSLR housing market. It is quick, easy and secure thanks to its double steel bolts on the underside of the housing.

Ports and extensions

A range of ports and extension rings are available in a dedicated section. The detachable port mounts to the Canon EOS 5D Mark III thanks to markers and a 120mm bayonet mount. The interchangeable port bodies and extension rings allow the use of most lenses on the market for maximum versatility and performance.

Light

The housing of the Canon EOS 5D Mark III offers the possibility to use external flashes via two standard light connectors as well as two Nikonos sync cable sockets. This allows for easy mounting of all flash and lighting equipment.

Construction and safety

Only the best materials are used in the manufacture of our enclosures, such as anodised aluminium, which is corrosion-resistant and thermally coated, and stainless steel. A durable product that requires easy and quick maintenance by the user. Two high quality O-ring seals protect and ensure perfect and safe waterproofing for all moving and removable parts; a red moisture/water alarm inside the housing is powered by a user replaceable battery. Working depth 100 metres. Various accessories can be attached using the M8 hole on the top of the housing and the double M6 threaded holes on the bottom of the housing.

Of course, a camera of this size deserves the best housing to take it underwater. Existing NA-5DMKIII housing owners - stop reading here, because this housing will work just fine with the 5DS. But Nauticam can't rest on laurels, so they simply had to produce the NA-5DSR and refine the NA-5DMKIII housing even more. The Nauticam NA-5DMKIII is incredibly popular and well-liked by their users. Many of the controls for the NA-5DSR are based on the NA-MKIII and take advantage of how stable this housing is. However, the Nauticam designers were able to make improvements. Small ¨changes, of course, but each incredibly well thought out - designed by underwater photographers, for underwater photographers. As an example of a small but important ¨change, the right side of the housing has been made less "ücluttered" by moving the video/still switch to the top of the housing and combining the ISO and DOF preview buttons into a tactile rocker that makes accessing both controls especially easy. Perhaps the biggest change is the addition of the patent-pending Multi-Controller. This brings the joystick controls closer to the right hand for easier access. The piano keys für Set and Q have been beautifully designed to make room for them, creating a user interface that is both beautiful and functional. The new MDX-5D Mark III ver.2, for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, has newly designed controls and is compatible with the Optical YS Converter. Optical YS Converter/C can be built into the housing Compatible with new Optical YS Converter/C1 for MDX housing which converts the camera’s TTL signal to a light signal. Both TTL and manual strobe photography is possible using a Fiber-Optic Cable II. * Fiber-Optic Cable ll is required when using the Optical YS Converter. * Optical YS Converter /C with serial number 00050 or less has to be downloaded with the latest Firmware.
